Nice hostel, close to everything and good facilities. One of the reception staff is a little slow and does not understand bookings done via the internet so be careful when it comes to paying-she may try and overcharge! but apart from that staff care lovely and helpful.

Great hostel, friendly staff who organise party buses on the weekend. The bar is cheap enough and a good place to start your night. Good table tennis and free breakfast until 10am. Located in a safe area of Bogota, would definitely recommend. I'm back for my second stay!

There are two sue candelaria hostels. The orginal, which is far better than the second one. has a bar, a ping pong table, it is cleaner, better athmosphere. The second one is located two hundred meters from the first one, The only thing I really disliked about sue candelaria was that you could not bring friends at night or continue partying at the hostel. There's a little lady bulldog who's litteraly going to jump on you is she sees out of your room or with someone from another hostel.

Really great value. The place is clean and the showers work really well. If you want to stay up in the courtyard be prepared to be told to quiet down, great news for sleepy folks. All in all one of the better places I have stayed.

I now stay here every time I visit Bogota. The hostel is charming. Luisa and every single other person working there are very amicable. I can't wait to return. Gregory

We booked at Hostal Sue because of the consistently high ratings and great feedback. A few things went wrong for us, so I won't be leaving a glowing review. The hostel had overbooked us and tried to send us around the corner to a cold noisy apartment . There are no private rooms with private bathrooms in the entire hostel. They need to change their booking form on hostelworld. Everything at hostel cold as everything is outside. Have stayed at 100+ hostels round the world. Below average hostel.

The staff were excellent!Louisa and Patricia in particular helped us out a great deal when there was a little problem with extending our reservation. They put us in a nice apartment nearby and made sure we had everything we needed. They also helped us leave Bogota by arranging taxis for us and put us in touch with a contact for our upcoming stay in Medellin. Thanks Hostal Sue for all your help, especially Louisa and Patricia and the other ladies whose names I didn't get but were super helpful!

We stayed twice here and both times were good, a good position to visit the Candelaria area . Breakfast was a bit manic as the kitchen area to serve yourself and prepare your breakfast was small, it was bette to get there early when there was more bread, coffee and cereal available. All in all a nice place to stay.

It's a nice hostel but nothing special. There are only three bathrooms so you have to wait a lot. The staff didn't speak any English and weren't trying to help me finding the right Spanish words which was pretty inconvenient. The location is really good and didn't feel unsafe at all.

Great hostel, the staf is really nice, the location is good (old historic city center), there's a great Arepa-place right around the corner, it's clean and the atmosphere is nice too. Great to get to know other travellers, the hostal has a bar too (not the kind of bar with loud music, but just nice). Breakfast is simple, but good :)

The room was clean and the bed was soft and comfortable. Coffee was hot with bread and hard boiled eggs in the morning. The staff was helpful but did not speak english. I stayed in the double bed room which was in the very back and away from all noise at night. The shower was instant hot water really the best in Colombia but was located across the courtyard. If they had a small heater in the room it would be close to excellent. $15 at home depot in the states.

Nice downtown hostel, great location and amazing staffs. Clean and good size bathrooms with hot water! Nice trip available to the laguna & salt cathedral, not cheap but the bus driver worth it. I'll be back 4 sure.

We stayed in the apartment which was great value for money, however it got a little cold at night. Overall a great place to stay.

Good cozy hostel with good staff in a good location. Only two bathrooms though meant you had to wait in the morning.
