It took me an entire week to get rid of the bed bugs I caught in this place. Ignoring the bites all over my body, it cost me the same as a nights accomodation here to have all my clothes washed to get rid of them. I also then tried to book a trip to colonia offered by the hostel. Over a period of 24 hours, though I was out during the day, not a single member of staff had the remotest clue how to book or even who I could ask. Very poor staff training from the management. Location great though.

Great atmosphere, great location in Palermo. Hostel is a little run down - they could upgrade the rooms slightly.

Some staff were awesome but we paid extra for private room with en suite. It was upstairs and we had no hot water and power points in the room didn't work. It was also quite noisy.

Good hostel, very nice building and location. The bathroom in the room where i stayed (4 beds) needs some improvement.. with a little money they can make a difference.

Nice room (lockers under the bed where you can put your big bag) but very small attached bathroom. Good atmosphere but very small kitchen. Good location, looks safe. Good laundry service.

Excellent place. Favorite hostel in Argentina. But tell the metrosexual guy at reception to turn down his music in the mornings.

When we arrived, the welcome was pretty cold. The floor of the room and the toilet paper were wet and we had a hot water problem. We were not offered to move to another room and I felt like no one cared about our situation. We got a discount but it was lower than the inconvenient. Finally we did not have a quiet night since we were above the "party room" downstair where drunk people yelled and moved things all night long.

A great hostel, especially for the price; I ended up staying longer than expected while I looked for an apartment and the staff were friendly and helpful, there is a good communal space to meet people, breakfast and free wifi. I would stay here again. Muy buen!

Last minute booking so we had to pay full price for a three bed private and only two of us but it was our fault for not booking ahead. Highly recommend this place!

I was staying for a month in the hostel, while looking for an apartment, and it was the best place I could ask for myself for this period. The staff is warm, helpful, supporting and friendly, the rooms are clean and nice, the people are interesting and lovely and the location is perfect if you're looking to stay in a different area than the Centre. I felt safe and homey and I would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone.

I was hopping a great experience but it wasn´t that way. The staff is just demotivated, they have a lot of issues with almost everything and nothing seemed to be done. When I arrived I could not open my door so they had to change the lock the very next day meanwhile the room door had to remain open. In the bathroom you had to be lucky to get hot water. The Internet service was just as random as the hot water, terrible. And they do not give good food recommendations. I just didn't like it.

The building has heaps of character and the location is pretty ok (near the subway and about 6 blocks from the best part of Palermo Soho. The staff is fine and their English is good. However, the bathroom was really disapointing - it took ages before the shower got a bit warm and sometimes it would just stop. The breakfast was also very poor, even for Argentinian standards (cereals with milk, if any milk was left, and bread) shortage of spoons, etc. This is a place only for low-budget bacpackers

We were only here a night and booked it because it was in Palermo which we like and it's close to the airport. However, next time I'd stay somewhere else. It's a big hostel and corporate so they were strict with check-in at 2PM, even though our room was ready before that (TERRIBLE!). Showers had no hot water, which is inexcusable in a city when we get hot water at more remote hostels. It's within walking distance to bars, but it's near some sketchy areas. Lots of families and kids here as well.

I loved Hostel Suites Palermo which was formerly a mansion, subdivided into a hostel. I stayed in two different private rooms in two different stays. The staff was very helpful and I loved the faded grandeur appearance of the establishment. The hostel is only two blocks from the nearest subway.I would definitely stay in Hostel Suites Palermo if I return to Buenos Aires. Two small negatives, hot water was slow to arrive and one room let in too much light from an adjoining lobby in one room.
