There was a really bad smell in hostel especially in the first floor. the building need to be renovated cause it is in a bad situation. However, they started to do it. Breakfast was good enough and free internet.

when I stayed there on sept. 2011 they were in a middle of renovation (as well as the room that I've got - had some unfinished spots of paint job) but it didn't bothered me at all. I must say that I've been upgrated to a room with shower, though the one I ordered was with shared bath, free of charge! this was really nice of them.

One week with two people in the 4 bed mixed dorm. Sleeped very good and enjoyed the fact, that many sights (like the old town, de gaulle square, culture palace, etc), cafe´s, restaurants and shops (even big cheap chains like C&A) are in walking distance. Very nice and helpful staff, cleanlyness is good and unisex facilities clean. You never think twice if you wanna take a a shower unlike many hostels. We would definatly choose Tamka hostel again.

I stayed in a 3 beds room with bathroom, big, nice and very clean. There was only one problem, we didn't have a curtain for the window and there was much light early in the morning, but i think it was due to the improvements they were carrying out to the hostel. Good breakfast and nice staff :)

Well organized and clean hostel. Breakfast included in the mornings in a big plus. Only downside - insufficient toilets for the size of the place - but this didn't cause me any problems. I would definitely return.

The best breakfast I have ever seen on hostel. Rooms clean, staff friendly. Only problem was with toilets. 2 for the whole floor were not sufficient and sometimes (morning) there was a queue. But anyway, this hostel I can recommend.

The hostel good and staff helpful (though not really knowing anything about the proper curtains, lacked ones in our room, and the balcony door didn't close well). Breakfast was great, a lot of space to spend an evening if it is raining outside. The place close to the center and small food shops, though the streets are noisy, we stayed to the other side of the building and it was quite calm. The renovation is still going on, but as we would come back just for sleep, heard none.
