Tequila Hostel is my go-to place in Guadalajara. I always go back because it feels like home away from home. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming and the rooms, clean and spacious. I do not understand some comments about location seeing that it is a short walk from both Chapultepec and the centro historico. The hostel is situated in an area surrounded by beautiful historic houses. Also, the tequila tour given by Miguel is always fun and an awesome way to meet people. Love it!

The people running this place are fantastic. Easy going, attentive, resourceful. When I got there, there was a party . I'm not sure if they do this every weekend or if it was just a bday party. If you want to rest this might not be your place. If you want to party, have "good time" this is your place. You are not too far from the Centro. Like a 7-10 min walk from the touristy stuff. It felt safe and clean. Beds are hard and the pillows suck.

I had an amazing stay here! the staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful. I felt so comfortable practising my spanish and getting little tips, that were personalized as well, the staff invited us to everything that was going on. Beautiful pool! and lovely guatemalan blankets. i also went to the town of tequila with Mickey, and it was an incredibly drunken informative experience! overall it is a really clean and beautiful hostel, and the staff are all so welcoming and lovely.

I would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Guadalajara. Good location, the rooms are big and clean, and the parties are great! I've stayed in a couple of other hostels in Guadalajara, but Tequila is by far the best. It's a beautiful hostel, and the people are amazing. Seriously good vibes from this place!

Booked four days but stayed for eleven. The crew is the best, beds are comfy, breakfast is okay. What really got me was the atmosphere with a nice mix

The private room I had didn't have wireless and its bathroom was not completed. It was up a stairway with no automatic lighting. The staff have to turn off ALL common area lights at around 1am, even if there are some people using the common areas still - I think this was cheap on management's part. The wireless worked about 90% of the time. During this season, heating is a problem. Staff is GREAT, very helpful and personable. A couple of them went out of their way to help me and others out!

Let me preface this message with the fact that I have traveled the world and stayed in many hostel. With that said, I loved Tequila Backpackers. The staff and people were so fun and sooooo friendly. The mingling and friendly environment far surpassed other hostels. This hostel, for those who know, is a bit like a frat. It's full of nice, life, drinking, and laughter. Great friendships are to be made there and it's a perfect place to start exploring Guadalajara and the surrounding areas!!!!

The place is quite noisy, and we had to notify the staff that the garbage was accumulating during several days in the kitchen. Besides, the bathrooms were not very clean during those days. Though they cleaned it once we complained about it.

Despite the relatively low rating that this hostel has received for 'location', it is actually located very close to Chapultepec Ave, one of the main bar districts in Guadalajara, and the ease of traveling around Guadalajara makes any ostensible shortcoming in location irrelevant.

Very friendly staff always willing to help you out planning your trips, recommending bars and restaurants to visit and just plain having a good time. After only a few days, it was as if I'd known them for ever. Facilities were very picturesc with a lot of mexican flavour and very clean. Besides the continental breakfast, a decent selection of dead cold beer and laundry services for a very reasonable price are definitely a plus!

This place has so much potential yet does not live up to it! The staff were uninterested and gave me false info on taxi prices! Don't bother with the breakfast! Overall it is ok for a night.
