I really liked that the beds in the dorm had curtains over them and each bed had a locker with power outlet in it.
Very disappointed in this hostel: -- we booked two beds in an 8 bed dorm, when we arrived, they gave us two beds in a 10 bed dorm and charged us the same amount. -- every recommendation they gave us proved to be incorrect: restaurants that had closed, buses that didn't service that location, etc. -- extremely loud fellow hostel guests -- dirty facilities -- no one working while we were there spoke any English (odd for a hostel in a major city)
Good locatin near to the city center. The rooms are really hot though and without airconditioning. When I was there it was pretty quiet, not really a place to meet other travellers.
Just stayed there for 1 night because almost just this was left over in Cartagena. Its a bit overpriced but at least breakfast is included, not the best but u get toast, jam, frostys and coffe. The staff was nice but he just spoke spanish but in a spanish speaking country it is your turn to try to speak spanish and not his to speak english with u. overall nice short stay. the facilitys were pretty good. u had a locker with a plug at ur bed and a curtain at ur bed.
Its really dirty, the rooms, the bathrooms, the area were its located.. The rooftop is cool.
Good hostal. Lockers have own power point. Great roof terrace. Not a party hostal. Recommended
The rooms were very dark and damp and the bathroom smelt really bad and the staff were not very helpful/welcoming. The thing that made it was the roof, apart from this aspect we would have changed hostel.
The hostel was a dump. Lockers were janky, things fell out of them. Bathrooms and showers were always dirty. I'm sure they don't care about retaining customers because they don't need to, but they should take more care in their place for our sake.
The beds were VERY close together! Also, there was a private party that started at midnight and didnt stop until 6am the next morning. The beds were actually shaking as the music was so loud!
It's an allright hostel. Sleeping is good thanks to air-con and curtains around every dorm-bed, but there's little space in the dorms. I heard normal price is 25.000cop which would be a great deal for Cartagena, since breakfast is included. (Careful: They only serve for one hour and quite early, so anyone who went out the night before will not get there in time.) But we came a few days after new year's and they had raised the price to 70.000cop, which is simply ridiculous.
Good location, very close to historic center, supermarkets and ATM. Extremely overpriced during high season! Facilities poor for the price: broken sink, no shower head, bad internet connection and breakfast only from 8-9 AM and VERY limited choice. Lockers would be OK (each bed has one with an outlet), if they would not look like they would fall apart any minute. Rooftop is nice but not appropriate for the weather conditions Cartagena has.
Booked a night stay through hostel world, but when I showed up they said they did not have a bed for me. Did not refund me my deposit I had already paid. The guy at the front was at least helpful in helping me find a hotel to stay in (around New Years Eve, so everything was booked). Cost me a lot of money!!!!
Liked: Overall I enjoyed the hostel, it has a nice rooftop and is very well located in the old part of Cartagena. The rooms are spacious enough, have curtains for the bed, and air conditioning + fans. The vibe was also good, you could play your own music on the soundsystem and have small parties and dinners on the patio, but this isn't a typical party hostel. Disliked: Under equipped kitchen, really high prices for Christmas so overall not good value for money.
The dorm room is big and each bed has curtains, which give you some privacy. Downside there are no windows and bathroom is not clean. If you want to mingle and party stay at a hostel at media luna.

Nice place, friendly and helpfull staff. Limited choice for breakfast, out of Jam and cereal but for the price sounds fair. Would stay again.
Quiet place, rooms with AC during nightime, clean and helpful staff. Location in between the two historical parts of the old city.
Great place! The beds have curtains and lockers that they give you a key for. The shower is big (though cold) but it's so damn hot in Cartagena that I really didn't mind. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is a ways from the main drag but only a 10 or so minute walk. It's near to the busses that take you to Playa Blanca. Compared to a lot of other hostels in Cartagena you really get good value for what you pay.
Location is the best thing this hostel has going for it, just a few blocks from the main streets in Centro. There is no real indoor common area aside from the reception, which also has minimal seating. The roof is spacious but the guest kitchen is lacking in equipment. WiFi is sporadic. All beds have curtains to block views and lockable charge boxes. Overall, this is a great place to sleep, but not the best to hang out and relax.
Great location, quiet hostel (a plus for me -- not a fan of super loud ones).
