This is the place to stay if you want to see and be part of a really unique place. Nothing but class and character describe this place. Great pool, tericota floors, central to everything, they picked me up from the airport at one in the morning and they were there waiting. The staff speaks english and there are several computers, several areas to relax and good food. I even stayed additional days. Thank you for making my trip the best ever

I don't know about the dorms but you get way better private rooms in San Jose for the same amount of money in terms of cleanliness and noisiness.

Staff was friendly and helpful, especially with my paltry Spanish skills. Had my own dorm room even though there were a few others staying (the could have put us all in one to save them some hassle), and the bathrooms were clean. Overall I had a very positive experience, nice pool though I didn't have the time to try it out, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

The staff are fantastic! Very friendly and helpful! We liked this hostel so much, we came back again on our way through San Jose! Would recommend and would stay again and again! Close to everything downtown and has a great shuttle to and from the airport which was very affordable! Only thing is if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs as the train passes by just outside and blasts the horn as it goes by every morning. But great place just the same! Loved it!

The staff was exceptionally friendly and accomadating. From the general manager,Jorge Madriz and the front desk clerks,Maria Jose, and Isreal, they were understanding and tried to please in every way. Katherine (the maid) assured that I had all the necessities of home. Mauricio, also at the front desk made sure that I had the coffee or water as frequently as I wanted. The hostel was right on the bus line, walking distance to stores, the mall and eateries. The hostel was very clean and well kept.

We stayed here for 2 nights after arriving in Costa Rica. It was a good place to orientate ourselves after a long flight and within walking distance of the city centre. The room was OK and the staff were OK although when we arrived (after 18+ hours of travelling) we were charged for one night and had to show them our booking confirmation before they believed we had been booked in for 2 nights. The safe in our room was out of action. Coffee was available in the morning but no breakfast.
