No need for hesitation, just book it spa, ready! Wonderful location, just by the river, you can enjoy the scen while in the kitchen, lounge, or sit by the windowsill in your room, most wonderful place ever. Staff are extremely nice and helpful, facilities clean and awesome. Overall the best hostel ever!

What a great location. I have never had such a view from a hostel window before. And the building itself is gorgeous. A flight above most other hostels in that regard. The biggest issue, they won't allow outside alcohol. They sell some good Belgian beers at double the price of the supermarket, which only has warm beer and you can't put them in the fridge. I understand not wanting the place to be loud and messy. That being said a really nice but quiet place.

Perhaps the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Absolutely beautiful old Flemish building with excellent facilities. Very good breakfast (and all fairtrade!) and really helpful and welcoming staff. Great location and great facilities. I cannot recommend this place highly enough on all counts. Trying to think of a downside but can't think of one- do it!

Not ideal for couples because of the bunk beds. The smell was awful in the bath. The staff was very kind, and the facilities (wifi, common kitchen) and the security of the luggage storage was excellent.

So great! People working at the hostel were extremely friendly and helpful. Provided lots of maps and advice about what to do in Ghent. The city free walking tour starts at the hostel, probably because the location is so great! Provide free locks to lock up your valuables in locker. The common area was really nice to meet people and hang out. Wifi worked very well.

Excellent staff and loved the atmosphere. The shared washroom and toilet facilities were a bit awkward but otherwise good. Loved all the sinks with mirrors, every hostel needs that. Great location and the activities and maps provided were awesome!

Beautiful hostel, very helpful staff, it's incredibly clean and the communal area is nice to sit in and have drink. The one thing I found issue with was the closeness of the beds to each other. Admittedly I stayed in a 14bed dorm, having stayed in many other hostel even in large dorms it's usually a bit more well spaced. Here you're very much on top of the person next to you there's not really enough space to change or move about and it can also be slightly awkward.

This hostel was alright. The view from the bedrooms is amazing - really the best. Hostel is stupid-close to city centre. However, since it's so close it is really loud even at night, and there's no AC so you have to open the windows and thus hear all the noise. Also, the city shinea lights on the old buildings in the city centre, basically right outside your window, so it's really bright at night when you're trying to sleep. Common room is alright, people don't socialize much though.

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Amazing staff. Rooms with a canal side view. Bar downstairs. Close to everything. Small enough to make new friends.

No hairdryer in the bathroom, no air conditioning in room. The bathroom and toilet are not fully close partitioning. For me, it's not comfortable since male and female are using the same facilities.

We were surprised with the excellent location and the price offer. Although not required, being assisted in Spanish was a nice extra =) Will definitely recommend to friends.

The location could not be better, really nice staff and the bar is cosy. Maybe provide some small dishes like soup or toast.
