Not a grungy hostel like you might get used to - the place is so clean and well kept, but that doesn't make it any less fun. The staff are so helpful when it comes to the beer menu (and anything you could want to ask!) and the kitchen is huge and really well equipped. If you're lucky enough to get one of the river-facing rooms your view will be exceptional too. The rooms are super roomy and clean as well.

Smack dab in the middle of city center. It's a medieval building and inside is cozy and charming with hardwood furniture, and leather chairs. Small enough to make conversation and meet people easily. The dorm rooms are great as well. Warm comforters and crisp, clean sheets and duvets. Mattress is pretty thick for a hostel too. Breakfast is average. No wifi in the dorm rooms. My only complaint was the shower room was a bit smelly.

Staff was friendly, the ambiance is nice, and the breakfast was great. It's easy to walk anywhere, just remember to watch for trams.

You just cannot find a better place to stay! Everything is super clean, rooms are huge and have a wonderful view, all the facilities are superb and well organized and finally the staff is the most helpful. Will recommend to everyone.

Great location. I've gotten a room with a view for the historic center. Beautiful. Although their bar doesn't have hundreds of options, it's a good price.

Great staff. Very friendly. Great breakfast. Comfy beds and big rooms. Awesome location right in the heart of the city. No laundry service but it's no big deal. There's a cheap one nearby.

What u want when u check in at a hostel is to feel like you´re coming home again for a night after moving out. Felt very comfortable from the beginning. Perfect

Best hostel I have stayed at! Highly recommend pros: - welcoming staff, good beer suggestions (they have a bar with cheap drinks) and local food spots. I felt like I got a true Belgium/Ghent experience - kitchen - location: right in city centre - lockers in rooms - good wifi Cons: - only one set of showers (quite a few though) on the top floor which is slightly annoying if you are on ground floor like me. Toilets on each level though.

This hostel was lovely. Beautiful view from our dorm room. Room was very large, plenty of space. Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, happy to have a chat and give any information you needed. Wifi poor in the room, but fine downstairs.

I like having any sort of safety box to keep small stuff that are of value for me. some hostels have like dozen of those boxes in the lobby and you can deposit money for using it. feels safer than leaving stuff in the room. some other have those safety boxes you can set code by yourself, that works fine too. But stuff were very nice and kept my stuff safe, so that works too :)

I only stayed for one night, and I really enjoyed the time there. This is a traditional building equipped with nice and clean facilities. Good location allow you to get everywhere on foot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beside, the lobby was very warm and cozy, simply staying in there would also very nice if you plan to stay more than one night. Def visit again if I have chance to visit Gent. Highly recommend!

Amazing staff, very helpful and kind and ensure you have an excellent stay. Facilities are good, kitchen well equipped. Location could not be better, and the building is so beautiful with a great veiw of the bridge from the common room. Also cheap beers and good breakfast. Highly reommended, cannot be beaten!

I almost don't want to rate it so high, for fear that an extremely high demand will eventually spoil this jewel hostel.

Must be the prettiest little hostel in Belgium or anywhere I ever stayed in, the locations is priceless so is the view. Easy to find. Spacious, airy room with large windows panorama view of old town. Breakfast, the usual suspects but heck, it´s included. Go outside, you pay $$$. You can walk to just about anywhere, just need tram to a from train station.
