In my opinion, i saw a lot of people saying really bad things about this hostel, but when i arrived there i was positively surprised. As you can imagine it isn't the best place to stay in Amesterdam but with this price i wouldn't expect better than this. I didn't see mouses (it's important :) ) and everyday there was a woman cleaning the rooms. I stayed in a double room, it is very small but for me it was fair for the price and the location.

Absolutely disgusting. I've stayed in hostels all over Europe and have never came across such a dump! We lasted 5 minutes before we left, I was in tears at the thought of staying in that hole. The stairs are a death trap, the place is filthy, the toilet is rusty and "dirty" and the place is tiny. We left immediately, we had to pay for the first night but I'd rather have slept in the street. DO NOT book this dump at any costs. I am going to complain to hostelworld for advertising this hole.

They are horrible to deal with. The only good thing about this place is the location and the coffeeshop.

well me and my friend arrived one day late because we lost the flight on the previous day, the hostel doesnt have an email address open for communications like our delay, when we arrived, we lost our booked room, then we asked if they could solve this situation, then the guy in charge gave us a lower level room for the same price as the one we booked , this room was tiny, with one bed only, for two men that booked a room with two single beds, well that is important to say, tks.

amazing location, right off dam square, easy walk from the train station. theres also a grocery store really close, lots of coffee shops in the area, and an awesome vintage store like 3 doors down. the only staff i had contact with was the guy who checked us in, but he didnt care that we were late checking in and was very helpful/friendly. it was clean and nice, and we weer told we could smoke in the room if we opened the window - which had a great view. crazy stairs, but thats amsterdam.

Die Abweichung zu den Bildern im Net war extrem. Super war das auf den Zimmer geraucht werden konnte mehr gibt es nicht zu berichten. Andere Zimmer kann ich nicht beurteilen,

Rooms are not big, quite clean and confortable. Showers and wc really narrow. Exactly how I expected it to be for the price I payed, maybe even more.

Not sure why this hostel has gotten such bad reviews! Stayed in the 6 bed room with friends, nice view out window. Relaxed and helpful staff, great location. Connected to a coffeeshop that's very comfortable to hang out in, priced alright and they'll point you to the gems in the rest of the city. No bed bugs for me or the other 5 I was with for 4nights. Shower in room, big lockers for each of us. Will most definitely stay here again, they must have cleaned up their act since the other reviews!

everything was good, just rooms were tiny,no shelfs for putting stuff and behind our room was a wall, so it was very dark and deppressed inside. for the price we paid it wasnt what we expected.

I have stayed in tiny rooms in Amsterdam before but this was by far the tiniest. It actually felt like a prison cell as only space for the bed, roof slopes down very low and 1 tiny window. Bed was ridiculously uncomfortable, and the walls were covered with graffiti. Spiral staircase was so tight and steep also. However it was cheap and good spot and the showers worked.
