Had an amazing time here. The social atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are amazing. The free dinner was an awesome touch that I really appreciated. The guy at the front desk with the beaded necklace was probably one of the most chill guys I have ever met. What a great character!!! Wish there were more showers. But other than that this hostel was fantastic!

The location of Hostel Van Gogh was excellent - just a two minute walk to any of the museums on the Museumplaine. I found the room to be very clean, and the bathroom was wonderful. I mean, really fantastic - the shower was spacious, the bathroom clean, just perfect. My big frustration was that their wasn't any security for a guest's bags - only a locker for the valuables.

This was the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in! It was very clean, and the staff were friendly. The location is great, it is literally seconds from museumplein. It is a bit far from the city centre, but walking in towards the centre is so beautiful it doesn't even matter. Highly recommend this hostel!!

The internet signal/quality on the room is quite poor.

Fantastic location (easy access to transport/tram lines), brand new facilities, helpful staff and relatively good value for money. We stayed in a double ensuite room (2 single beds next to each other, but this was a minor inconvenience). Would definitely stay here again. Only minor downside is room got a bit cold while we were there, despite 2 heaters.

Although room security was good the reception door was often wedged open as the key cards tended not to work , whi h meant anyone could wander in, the staff also told up a 7 seated taxi was not possible even though we got one to the hostel and eventually got one back to the airport, after much hassle. Although breakfast was cheap it was a very small selection, nothing really aside from a continental breakfast, so not really worth €5 Overall though we had a lovely stay, would happily return.

Great hostel, basically like a simple hotel with dorms. Really comfortable rooms and nice bathrooms. A bit of walk from the city centre, but great location for museums. Well-stocked supermarket nearby.

Great location and facilities. My fellow room-mates were friendly and we were able to share tips on things to do and places to see around the area. The staff at the front desk, while helpful, tended more towards brusque than friendly. Overall a pleasant stay.

I spent 3 days in that hostel. It is very well located : close to museums, park and restaurants. The dorm was very clean and confortable. I have already recommended that hostel to my friends.

Hotel that has been converted into hostel by putting bunk beds in rooms (8 bed dorm). no common area or couches to relax on, simply a bed to sleep in.

Very good price for a comfortable place to sleep. It is very clean, and it located near vondel park, hard rock cafe, and one of the party zones in amsterdam.

Surprised at how clean and new it was! Stayed in an 8-bed mixed dorm with one bathroom but the room wasn't full so it worked well. SUPER location (within walking distance of downtown Amsterdam) and they let us keep our bags there in a locked room all day while we were out. Overall a really good experience, no complaints!

Very good atmosphere , nice & tidy hotel . Perfect location just a few minutes to Rijskmuseum & Van Gogh museum. Hotel offers at good price quite substantial breakfast.

I loved this hostel! My room was super clean and nice - being able to watch BBC News from my bed during downtime was a nice plus. Wi-fi was excellent, and as a museum-goer, the location could not be beat.

Great place, not a bad location just a few tram stops away from the centre/Centraal station. We had a good breakfast. Good for international gezellig :) Recommended!

Feels much more like a hotel than a hostel. Staff weren't the best.
