Highly recommended. We've been treated so well by the owner and got all the help we wanted. The place itself is clean, secure and great value.

This was very par for my expectations of a Dominican Hostel. Nothing too nice, but at the same time it was convenient, the staff were friendly, the rooms clean enough, and I enjoyed the access to wifi. The pool on the property was a nice touch as well, I enjoyed reading by it during the afternoon! Fridge to store things in was nice as well.

Villa Carolina is an amazing place. Great value, the staff is friendly (by staff I mean owners) who will personally pick you up at wherever you need to be picked up. You get a very nice, cozy little breakfast in the morning of toast and fruit with coffee or tea. The location is super close to the Malecon, a short moto ride to the gondola, you can set up tours to do the 27 waterfalls (I HIGHLY recommend this) and some great places to eat nearby by or colmados to grab some ice cold beers.

The Hostel is close to the beach, bus stations and the downtown. We could tell our belongings were safe when we left them in our room. Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. We would certainly go back again if go to the north coast.

I have been to many hostels all over the world over the last 10 years and this is by far one of the best . It is more like a bed and breakfast . Your own clean, comfortable room and bath complete with towels and products for washing . A breakfast of fresh fruits, toast and jam and a delicious pot of coffee served to you at your own table . The staff is wonderful, kind and helpful . It is clean, very quiet and peaceful and even has a pool. Staying here was a wonderful and relaxing experience.

There are not many hostels in Puerto Plata. It is a big old house attended by a nice lady. She served us the breakfast and gave us all the information we needed to move around the town and the area (it is not very easy for someone that doesnt live there!). It was a nice stay!

I really liked this hostel. I am from Korea and my girlfriend is from Thailand. We just stayed one night, but I miss the hostel. Thank you so much for the great room and cleanliness. Especially the breakfast was amazing. If I visit there again in my life, my staying will be definitely your hostel. Gracias!
