The owner was very helpful in arranging my on-going bus transport to Split, organising a taxi to the bus station and generally really helpful. What a great location.

In really I not stay in th Villa Garden. When we arrived, the gay said that was overbooked. He was helpfull and send us a another hostel near the old city and for us was better. The other was really near the wall and more new that the first.

Lot of noise during the night make by other customers, bad isolation One owner is really kind and give us good advices for our stay The other doesn't speak english very well so we have troubles to understand each other about the price we have to pay (he didn't understand that we already pay something on hostelword website). He knocked on our door the last morning and entered without waiting for a "yes" and was really angry about other customers so he wasn't really nice with them

The place is very well located and easy to find, in the city center! The owner is nice. You can pay both in euros and kunas. My room was tidy and clean with fridge and air conditioning. In my opinion it was a little bit expensive but being high season in Dubrovnik it was ok! I can definitely recommend this hostel!

I booked the single room and it was awful. It was very dirty, the dirtiest thing I´ve ever seen and outside in the middle of a courtyard next to some trees and a kind of cupboard where the owner stored all kind of rubbish. I didn't have any problem there but I didn't feel very safe because as I say it was in the open air and everyone could jump the wall. The location was perfect, very near the old town.

This was an absolutely fantastic hostel! It was so beautiful and in the centre of Dubrovnik old town. The owner was so nice and he gave us discount on restaurants and things like kyacking and walking tours. I was really really happy with this hostel and will definitely be staying again. It made Dubrovnik a lovely and safe place to stay. Wish we had stayed longer.

Great place, not too far from the old city. It was clean and cool in the room. The entrance is a little tough to see so make sure you have the address :) It is not a regular hostel but a great place for a couple or single to have a secure room close but not right inside Dubrvnik's City Walls.

Room was not ready when arrived after 4pm. Construction work being completed so do not look to have a lie in. Fantastic location and a great manager on site. Internet only worked when sat in the garden area.

Great location and the staff was very helpful.

The owner is nice and the hostel location is good. However, there are bed bugs and many insects on the wall..... It would be great if the room is cleaner.

A bit noisy, not very clean. Nice atmosphere, though.

Really nice hostel and good atmosphere!

One of the worst 'hostels' I've ever stayed at. I write 'hostel' because this place is just an apartment, not a real hostel. Hostel Villa Garden is very difficult to find. If you try to follow their directions, you will get lost. My sister and I wandered around the city for half an hour trying to find the place. Turns out that we walked past it several times. There is no sign on the building! Bathroom wasn't clean. Bad WiFi. No Hot Water! Staff doesn't speak much English.

The guest house is just a short walk out of the old town walls - not up any number of steps which was a plus. The room we stayed in had a fridge and cooktop and was good for making your own food. They did free washing which was amazing - you just had to hang it out and take it in. Its not really a hostel, so for those looking for a better atmosphere look somewhere else. We would stay here again though.
