Very great hostel, not too close from the bars but walking distance and its easy to walk in playa. The staff was very helpfull and good vibes. Only thing is it gets very hot on the dorms, was on a 10 beds one and couldnt sleep at all, there is no air conditioning and the fans unfortynately dont help that much. I asked to change room, they did put me on a 6 beds, it was way better but still very hot. And i was there in the winter, cannot imagine in summer time.
It's quite loud here so expect to hear music pretty much all day. Rooms are a bit crowded but decent enough. Hot water is nice
A well positioned hostel close to the beach, the collectivos and local amenities such as wallmart and many eating places.the kitchen area was great-very well equiped, and the staff were helpful and friendly.definitely a good place to stay.
Our stay here was fine. The showers where clean, there was no wifi in the room but outside is was fine. The kitchen was not very clean but usable.
I was one week at this hostel and I really enjoyed the atmosphere! With it's big lounge it's possible to meet new people all the time, which was like a family for me after this week.
LOVED it!! The attention of the staff is very welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and comfy. The pool is just to sit or for your feet though, but nevertheless it was awesome, just dont expect to swim! The atmosphere was very, very nice, interesting people from all over. I would definitely stay again. :)
We stayed over New Years and were paying 300 pesos per night which was pretty expensive compared to other places we had stayed throughout our trip. We were in a dorm with 10 people which was quite crowded so there wasn't a lot of room for bags. We did notice that there were some dorms of the same size with less beds in them so these would probably be better to stay in. Other than that it was really great. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a laundry to use for a small fee.
Viva la vida is a very good option for Playa, it is directly near the colectivos and close to the bus station. The kitchen is extremely clean and very well equipped. Bathrooms are clean and showers are great. Staff is friendly and always has plenty of great recommendations on offer. The party street and the beach are also in walkable distance. Had a great time there!

We had an amazing time at this place. We were 8 friends staying here for 8 nights& could have not picked a better hostel! The staff is super helpful&the hostel is very clean. It is located very close to the pick up location of the collectivos, however to go party we had to walk 5-10 minutes which is not bad at all and gives you time to finish another beer :) However this is not a party hostel, we just turned it into one as we were so manz people, otherwise I think its more quite and relaxing
Friendly little hostel. Great staff. We went out on the town with Luis many times.
It is not the best hostel I have ever been, but it was full of good environment.
my room was a dump and humid and damp and muggy and gross! private too! anyways, the guy who worked there was nice, chill people all the time in the area, a pool that resembles a fountain without the fountain. good location, you could walk to everywhere. ummmm yea, thats about it
nice hostel in good location, walking distance to the bus station, center, beach, restaurant and bars. free wifi and use of computer. nice kitchen with free drinking water.
There was no key for the room, just a key for a small locker.
