Good atmosphere and friendly people. I think that for the price they charge it could include a basic breakfast.
This was our second stay at Vive La Vida and we love it! Great common area with a cute little plunge pool and excellent wifi. The kitchen is huge with free coffee, free water, all the equipment you need and a great triple fridge to keep your fruit and beer cold. Welcoming staff, sweet location and spotless bathrooms with loads of showers and loos so no queuing. Dorm mattresses were a bit thin but we still had consistently good sleeps. This place is hard to beat.
Very much a party hostel. Close to the beach and main strip, but the beaches were in poor condition due to the weather. The facilities weren't great, my girlfriend got an electric shock from the plug socket near her bed. The bathrooms weren't clean and the locks on the doors were loose.
The hostel was ok - friendly staff, nice kitchen, slightly institutional vibe but nothing spectacular. If you're looking for a homely quirky hostel then maybe this isn't the place for you but it's cheap and cheerful enough...
Was only there for a night so I didn't get the full experience but was fine for me!
