Okay hostel, not in touristy spot but the beach is just 5 blocks straight walk away (about 5 mins.) It is a bit boring here, most people keep to themselves. I think the hostel should organize activities to improve the social atmosphere (maybe organize trips to beach, bar hopping, movie and dinner nights, or just be more active in giving tips of good places to go for the guests.) The rooms and bathrooms are clean enough. The door to your dorm is not lockable, but there are lockers.

Very nice hostel. Stayed in the 10-bed dorm, which was very clean and had lockers with keys. Small but nice pool to cool down after you walked back from the beach. It's quite a walk from the main street and beach, but you do pass by Mama Mia pizza, which is great. The upside of located a bit further away is that you don't have issues with noise of the party people (which could be yourself or your friends of course). No breakfast included, but there is a great kitchen.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was initially in a 10 ed dorm and found it a bit crowded (though have to confess i\'ve lived alne for 20 years so dorms take some getting used to again). The six bed dorm is very spacious and having a bathroom just for that dorm makes the world of dfference. The extra few dollars for th 6 bed dorm is definitely worth it. Very good value for money.

Nice hostel with a good location and friendly staff. The only complain I have was that me and my friend booked a 6 beds mixed dorm ensuite and got a 10 beds mixed dorm with shared bathroom, which is cheaper than the 6 beds room. And we still had to pay for the 6 beds room...

We stayed in a private room. The room wasnt sooo private yhough since there were only 3 real walls, the other one was slef constructed and didnt not go up until the ceiling. Aprox. 1 meter from the ceiling was covered with a curtain. Next to that wall was another 'private' room. quality of the matrace was poor since it was only about 10cm thick. Windows were missing curtain. Quaility of night rest wasnt too high!

Pretty bare bones place. We had a private room which was actually part of a single large room that was divided with a sheet of plywood and cloth. No windows. :| Staff was friendly, though.

The hostel was really good. The only complaints i had were the fact we only paid one night at a time for some reason, and the some of the showers felt like they were pricking us with pins.

Very clean and comfortable. Spacious rooms and good kitchen facilities. Rooms get very hot and stuffy at night. This hostel has no atmosphere at all, everyone kept to themselves and didn´t talk to each other. i left after 2 days because I was soooo bored. But it was clean!

Pleasant stay, nice and helpful staff! Weak point is that there was no breakfast - but you can bring and cook your own food anytime.

This hostel is pretty cool, clean and only a 5 minute walk from the centre. You certainly dont need a taxi from the Bus station. The rooms do get a little hot during the midday sun. But if you wanna stay in bed after a hard nights party, it might be uncomfortable. Playa del Carmen is pretty but completely full of tourists. But I went during Spring break :-( not recommended....

Really nice to have a dinner included! It brings everyone together at night and encourages converstaion leading to worldwide friendships! :) Also quite nice to be away from the Cancun strip.

Very nice garden setting with a big pool. A bit far from the water, but still a great place to relax.

The staff were awesome, and so helpful. The hostel was the nicest I have stayed in for cleanliness. VERY clean, and the sheets seemed BRAND NEW. The facilities were GREAT, the pool was cute, but no one swam in it, and it was so close to the TV area, if it was further from the kitchen, I would have gone for a dip in it. This hostel was awesome, the only issue, was no free breakfast (coffee tho) and no lock on female dorm.(one small design flaw ceiling fan on the top bunks too close to bed).

I neteded some help calling to reserve a hotel in mexico city but there was a language barrier. I asked Gini at the desk if she woulkd mind to help me and she went out of her way to o exacytly that. She also provided me with valuable information regarding places to eat and thingsw to see so i was very grateful for that. The rest of the staff were also very friendly. We had hot water, a good kitchen, and very clean. My hope is they will fix the upper deck up to make it a bit more inviting..Karl

I had a really nice stay. The hostel is quite relaxed and the common area and kitchen are good. The rooms can get a bit stuffy but other than that everything was great. The bathrooms and common area were always nice and clean.
