everything is ok, but the shower room looks dirty n too many insects.

Was a good stay there. Convenient location in city center. Clean room and helpful staff.

Basic but sufficient.there is no much choice for a backpacker in taitung anyway.location is actually good but way to hostel not signed which makes it bit hard to find.description of the hostels location a joke,really.guy who runs the place very helpful though,good english.

The hostel is lovely, and we particularly love the common area of it. However, there are sooooo many mosquitoes, and the room is not completely dark at night (especially when other guests turn on the light in the corridor). And the noise of the planes woke us up quite early in the morning. But still, it is an enjoyable stay.

Even though I didn't give HHK top scores in everything, it's definitely my favourite out of all the hostels I've stayed at in Taiwan. The owner is friendly, good-natured, and really helpful; the hostel is within a short walk of an area of town with (small-town-Taiwanese) shopping and eating; the shower water is warm; the beds are comfortable; and there's an open communal area to hang out in. It's damp and there are some bugs, but that's unavoidable in Taiwan. I love this place.

Nice hostel, very simple but great staff, good location and not really expensive.

serious cleanliness issues: remnants and rubbish everywhere, ants, mosquitoes, bedbugs. would otherwise be a very cool place. shame.

The hostel is a few minutes from the main bus station, which makes is very easy to get on a bus in the morning and head wherever you want. Don't be deceived by the neighbours when you first see the hostel. It's been a great stay.

This hostel use to be the dorm for railway workers several years ago accroding to their staff, it will chill you out if you want to take a shower there in winter TW at night as me, beacuse the shower room and toilet is sort of outside style.
