Not in the centre. The hostel is close to a tram station, from there it is a 20 minute ride to Schwedenplatz in city centre. It is a big building (so not much atmosphere) on a main road , but nevertheless quiet at night. The location is good if you come by car from Czech or Slovak Republic. Breakfast was good and I enjoyed my stay.

Not really in the city center but with the tram you're there in 15 minutes. The staff wasn't very reliable about the information that gave. The room was supposed to be a double room and it ended up being a twin room, even though the beds could be joined together, so no big deal. The room very clean, with towels and sheets, quite new like the hostel itself. The wifi is for free even though it only works properly at the reception. In general very good.

This is the best youth hostel I've ever stayed in. It's nice and clean, the beds are perfectly comfortable, and nearby public transportation is convenient.

I think the booking I made from the beginning stated "Twin Room" (toilet ensuite), I got a bunk bed instead (toilet ensuite). The room was clean, but the bunk bed was not what was agreed from the beginning, and in accordance to the price as well. So I'll never use Hostelworld again. It's better to spend twice the money on something you can't get disappointed with - because you have the right to leave and even claim a money return. Hostelworld is a Hostageworld.

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear friend, as shown on the " Property Information: Our rooms have 2-6 beds (bunkbeds) breakfast buffet, sheets and all taxes are included in our prices - NO extra costs !... " you have got exactly what you had booked and paid for. We are sorry about your disappointment, but we think it's neither hostelworlds nor our fault, that you were not satisfied with the room set-up you booked yourself. Best regards from Vienna Hostel Wien-Brigittenau

Staying as a couple. Positive: Private room with bathroom good price for Austria. When wifi is working it is quite fast, but not always working and not in our room. Negatives: No character to the place, very sterlie environment. Wifi often not working. If people are noisy you can hear them moving up and down the hall outside your room at all hours of the night. Notes: 20 min by tram 2 to the centre. Close walk to tram from hostel.
