Hostel Wien - Brigittenau (HI) Reviews

1. I was seated in hostel depadance. The way to depadance should be more visible as there is no real sign to it. 2. The breakfast is poor for such a nice place. There were no warm meals ( I stayed for 4 nights ). 3. WiFi is not working properly in the central lounge area. 4. There is no place for indoor activities except pool table. ( The old house I was in some years ago had more ) 5. Hostel should have new and more informational charts on Vienna's rich night-life

the guy at the reception was unpleasant

it was a nice hostel; breakfast was good, rooms and facilities were also good. but staffs looked very cold. and I don't know why, but I felt like I was in a prison. there's no computer except something like kiosks only for internet. no wifi, and internet was expensive.

It looks more like a hotel than a hostel. The room was clean and bedsheets were ok. But the walls are very thin. We were up at 6 a.m.coz of our neighbours. They were just speaking but we could hear them.Also in the evening it was loud in the corridors. Some drunk teenagers were having fun. But of course it's a matter of luck. The hostel itself is nice and clean. You can have a nice breakfast there. The downtown is just 15-20 min away by tram. I've already reccomnded it to my friends.

Stay at Hostel Wien-Brigittenau was a real good bet. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. The hostel is not very far from the centre and can be reached by a combination of a tram and bus or just a tram. The frequency was too good. Breakfast was also good. All in all, i would recommend to stay at this hostel

Towel, soap - buy yourself in the machine

Very nice, new hostel, super clean, nice spacious rooms with spotless showers and with amazing breakfast buffet. Staff was helpful, especially girls, big thanks to them for all the info! However, the older guy working there, he did not want to call a taxi for me, saying it is impossible. I lived 2 years in Vienna, so I know I did not ask nonsense. Location is not perfect but it is also not the worst - center is some 15 mins away by metro/foot combination. Would recommend it to everyone! :)

We had short but GREAT stay at this hostel! Instead of a 4-bed room, we got a 3-bed one. Room was very clean and had just as much space as you need, but not little. Only weird thing was that toilet was not in the room, even though bathroom is, but I know thats common in Vienna. Breakfast - extraordinary! Maybe a bit far, but very easily reachable from city center and Prater! I just think that they should point out the fee you should pay for not having their card.

First of all, great breakfast, great staff, very nice room(basic, but that's what we went for), clean hostel throughout, good value for money altogether...recommend it to all traveling students and youths

Despite the location, everything's perfect. I somehow was sent to a two bed room with no roomie... But it has it's own tap and sink and was pretty comfy. Breakfast is included and is VERY GOOD! Be there early cuz when I was leaving at about 9am there was a long queue! Wish there can be more shower though...

The staff at the reception was very not helpfull. When I came at the hostel some staff humiliated their own colleague in front of me. The bed and the pillow was very old and dirty. The brekfast was the only good thing.

I have to say only words of praise for this place. Very nice hostel, friendly stuff, cheap, good location( near tram and metro station). I recommend it to everyone who have an intention to go to Vienna

- annoying fan in bathroom - very good bunk beds (height between both beds) - spacy room - windows cannot be fully opened

Hostel is above average, very clean, quiet, several options for public transport, breakfast ok, staff ok. Very good value.

Had a pleasant stay of 4 days. Got bunk beds, with a very nice view from the upper bed. Big own bathroom, much space, a cage for our bicycles for the night, lots of breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.
