No internet for the first two days of our stay and staff reply with grunts rather then using words. Our room got insanely hot every night. Also the design of the bunks in our room made it near impossible to get in and out of the top bunk. Average experience. Won't be back

The best thing was that I arrived really early and they gave me my room immediately without having to wait for the check in hour. however the atmosphere is really bad, if you are a solo traveler or young people avoid it, you won't meet people easily. The stuff was helpful but cold. the breakfast was really good, the other meals the opposite, don't do the mistake to pay and try them
Beds were very compfortable and brekfast was great, but dinner time changed from one day to another without any notice, so i cambe back to the hostel to fin out thar dinner was over an hour before that day and had to look for a place to eat. Internet conection is only at the lobby of the hostel.

Staff was ok, the facilities looked like it used to be a college dormitory in the 60s. They do NOT have double beds, all beds are bunk beds. They advertise differently on Hostelworld and are aware of this fact yet have no intention of changing it apparently. The atmosphere is also null. Very dead and boring. Lastly, Internet is only in common areas of the first building (they have 2 at least -- so if you're staying in second you have none) and wasn't working either. Do not recommend it.
This hostel is very different from what you would usually expect - it's not so much for young travellers, more of a family-/group place. The staff isn't very friendly, there's only wifi on the groundfloor, and there's close to no power outlets in the dorms (even though the dorms are pretty big). The area is great, so I would recommend for travellers/interrailers to rent an apartment close by.
The receptionist isn't nice, he was not friendly and Was annoyed. There was no atmosphere. We suggest this place to people who doesn't care about meetings.
In general, a good value for the money. Close to main sites, and good breakfast.
Cleanliness: There were stains on my sheets and pillow. They seemed alright though. Facilities: Bad. Lockers too narrow to fit a bag. Shower in each room, which was nice, but ours was wrecked. The door was broken so it wouldn't fit and the shower'head' was attached to the wall far too low so we had to bend knees to wash our hair. Very big rooms though, lots of space and the doors are extremely secure! But it felt like all the hostel cared for was the money and not the guests. Probably true.
This was kind of an odd hostel. No alcohol was allowed so it made it hard to meet people. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good though and the rooms were clean and spacious.
Although the location of the hostel is in the center of Vienna, it takes a while to reach the nearest metro from the hostel which is the opera house. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were not so good or not so clean. The receptionist was slow and very clumsy. We had to wait like 40 minutes before she could attend us to check in and also I got a room with a broken locker. So I had to change it and guess what another broken locker. I feel For the money you pay you can definitely afford better.
Hostel was fine but 0 atmosphere and really frustrating wifi! Really difficult to even book bus tickets to next destination. Need your own padlock for the lockers. Communal spaces weren't great and there is no alcohol allowed in the hostel so not the best for young travellers wanting to socialise. Also difficult to meet people as a solo traveller. Best part about the hostel is the free breakfast - you can eat enough to be full for the whole day!
Cheap prices but don't expect too much from this hostel. We were in the second building and felt quite excluded from the rest of the hostel. Even though, there's not a good atmostphere there and the staff hasn't been so friendly and kind towards us, like asking about tips on the city seemed already too much. Anyway, it's cheap and clean so it really depends on what you're looking for.
Spacious room with decent sized cabinets/lockers for storage. The room had an attached room with shower, but you had to go out to hallway for the restroom. Not too bad. Beds were comfortable. Would have liked to have more power outlets, especially closer to bed. Overall, good hostel experience.
The hostel offered a great breakfast with a good variety of foods. The common areas were also reasonably comfortable. The hostel itself is across a couple of buildings. I thought it was a bit of a rabbit warren and any journey from the reception to our room in their building around the corner took about 5mins. This was a a bit frustrating with wifi only in common areas. Also, we booked a 'basic double bed private' and ended up with bunk beds with the explanation 'we don't have any of that room'
Like any youth hostel be prepared for an abundance of young people running around because they can drink... What you get for the amount you just isn't worth dealing with the young people who have no supervision. The location is just plan creepy at night for a solo traveller!
Quite a sterile hostel due to its size. We were 2 travellers on our own and not a lot of people wanted to talk or associate which is a shame. Staff were quite stand off-ish and rude sometimes however one lady at the desk(curly hair) was extremely helpful in giving directions. Good free breakfast however the queue was huge so get there early. An OK stay just one night
Great location ,clean bathrooms, with very clean linens. It has a very good location , only a 5 minute walk to all the places the main places. The staff was polite and very helpful in giving me any assistance needed. Breakfast being included is a nice plus point. But I had to pay 3.5 euros extra for hostelling international card. Not a party hostel did not meet many people there very quiet and clean though would recommend staying here.
Really clean, bed's are comfortable, ceerful staff, very quiet... "I'll be back" ;-)
