The hostel is the best compromise between cheap and good. It's perfectly clean and despite the area is the safest place to stay. Only negative points: the wifi did not work at all and younger guests keep smoking along the communal staircases. Generally good for the rest. Highly recommended for penny-pinchers.

Cheap bed but make sure you have plenty to do during the day because you won't want to be there anymore than you have to.

We had to walk upstairs 5 floors to get to the room. The "common area" does not have wifi range and it looks more like an abandoned dumping site area. Occasionally you will see an abandoned chair per floor to use the internet or sit by the stairs as it doesnt work in the rooms either. Moved out of it the next day, very very uncomfortable.

Bedbugs, no common area to interact, extremely limited area to store food, no place to consume food

Rooms were small, just bunks. Just a few showers and toilets. Minimal security in rooms, no lockers, just one large locked luggage room. WiFi not in the rooms, inconvenient. No kitchen. only one balcony area for communal use. Street is a little dodgy at night, good location for sights In the day.

Water is not enough to supply when too much people have their shower at the same time. Sound insulation between room to room not really insulated.

Perfect location! It takes like 8-10 minutes to get to the Acropolis! Nice staff!

I know that I can't ask much for 10 €, but they could at least open the windows before the guests arrive. It smelled so musty we thought we were not going to wake up the next day. While we were awake we killed 5 mosquitos and still I woke up bitten everywhere.

Okay hostel. Excellent location, but thats it...

Just beware of bed bugs! The freewalking tour ofAthens which was offered was fantastic!

We had a great stay in Hostel Zeus mainly due to the extremely informed and helpful staff, the great location and the FANTASTIC free walking tour. We had a private double room which was small and very dark but ok for us. We did find some mosquitos in the room. And the toilets are quite dingy! It's not the kind of hostel where you would choose to hang out at but we would stay there again because of the staff and location.

Good position -it always depends what you're most wanted to do-, at these price you can't pretend limo or champagne.....

The hostel is very average and could use a few improvements.BUT, it is close to all the main attractions and staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They organise a free walking tour everyday at 10, which is great. Really interesting and fun.

Mosquitos harassed me nightly (a net or screen on the window

The streets around the hostel are not really nice. But a couple blocks away is the historic area of Athens which is really nice!

went to bed and could feel bugs in the bed then was forced to get up at 2am to move to a different room as I'm allergic to bed bug bites and both my arms were swollen by this point. they then moved me and my friends to a different room only to put in a new set of people with out dealing with the problem! they also have no lockers or safe places for valuables. hated this hostel.

+ Pleasant day staff not so evening one. Location. Clean linen. 1€ towel. - Internet just on stairs. No where to store luggage in room. 1 toilet+1shower functioning per whole floor (plus all floor wet instantly).!!!!!! Bitten by mosquitos all night. Very dirty walls& curtain. 1 key per whole dorm. Only 2 sockets in 4 bed dorm. Worst hostel I have EVER stayed. Moved to Cosmopolit which seemed like paradise if comparing to Zeus.

The bathroom locker doesn't work. The building is too old and the rooms are really dirty. The only advantage is the location.

TOO MANY BEDBUGS!!!! We never recommend there to anybody else. Unfortunately,we had terrible experience there. At first night we found 3 bedbugs on our beds. and of course, we were bitten by them, then started to feel really itchy and got too many rash all over our bodies. next day, we just told a hostel staff "We saw and were bitten by bedbugs in our room". We are not sure this hostel is trying to solve this problem... We definitely hope they are done.
