This hostel is great! To keep it short, its in a perfect location compared to other hostels as Monastiraki is the main square of Athens! It's in the middle of all of the sights and is literally a 5min straight line walk to the metro so easy to get suitcases to and from. As its downtown it is slightly more a depressed area but its nice to see all sides of a city not just the tourist side! Good walking tour and I went to Delphi! Plus super cheap!

Stayed here for one night and wouldn't recommend for anyone looking to stay longer than that. For 11 euros a day you're definitely getting what you paid for and absolutely nothing more.

Hostel Zeus is a good place to stay in Athens. It is centrally located (10 minute walk from Monastiraki) and it is clean. The bright colouring of the walls and the Greek paintings make for a good atmosphere. There is a rooftop balcony and a sink in the dorm rooms. Dislikes include: paying extra $4 for air conditioner, and having to sit in the hallway to use the internet. It's annoying when there are hidden costs and wifi should be easier to access.

We slept in a private room. Even if it's not expensive, 1/ the statement of the building is quite old, 2/ the private room was dirty also. You can see the marks of dead mosquitos on the wall! 3/ At last but not the least, you have to pay the AC You have to know that for the young couple, you can find some good hotel for 10 euro more.

The place seemed clean. The wifi only worked in the stairwell and not the rooms. There is no comfortable common area. The staff are friendly and helpful with ideas about the city. The rooms were comfortable. Nothing that bad about the hostel, nothing that great. I would might stay here again, if I needed a place in Athens.

I stayed there one night. Cheap but not clean, I got some bite by some insects in the sheets or something

Restrooms were too small and had a bad smell. A pity.

Bathroom facilities didnt work properly on top level (no lock), had to pay for air conditioning but even that was broken. Very hot in summer. Nonetheless, decent location.

The location was good, (very close to the historic center and to the city center, but the city in these areas is very dirty and dangerous) the building was old, the showers were kinda dirty, and there was no locker in the rooms. They had only one key per room. Anyway in general it was good comparing it with the city itself.

I realise that's it's unfair to expect too much from a hostel but this one just isn't worth the money. The location is good because it's only about a ten minute walk from the train station and the Acropolis. Don't be misled by their false claims, on the listing they claimed to have a bar however when I arrived I was informed that it was apparently closed this year, also the wifi is terrible and you have to pay for the air conditioning. Overall the staff were quite mediocre.

Pros: it's close to town centre and metro, has upper deck. Cons: you have to pay for aircon, wifi in stairwell only, no atmosphere dispite the upper deck which is very dirty.

This place is perfect if you need a bed to sleep on... AC costs extra, the showers and bathrooms are not clean, the wifi only works in parts of the stairwell... But the location is good (near monastraki square) and the rooms are pretty cheap. Also, the front desk staff is really nice, which is a plus. The set up didn't really facilitate people hanging out together, so it was less so social than other hostels I've stayed at.

A good place to crash for a night, but it's only worth it if you stay in a dorm. 8 euro for a dorm, way more for a double room so it isn't worth it otherwise. Basic facilities, no kitchen, bar or food, just beds and bathrooms. Easy to find.

While the location of the hostel was really good, I really didnt like the fact that I had to share a key in a 4 person dorm room with people that I didnt know.

Hostel Zeus is great if you're only staying a few nights. It's in a good location, pretty close to the Monastiraki station and Ermou street. There isn't really a common area and the internet only works on the stairs, but the rooms are nice and it's easy to make friends with the people you're staying with. Beware of the showers though! They're pretty gross and hard to get in and out of without flashing people. Recommended to anyone on a budget. It's a fairly good stay for not much money.

The hostel itself is average but the staff is very lovely and I really enjoyed my time there met really nice people. At the end Zeus hostel is not expensive with good location in Athens and I think anyone will enjoy his/her staying there

no locks on shower doors!

The hostel is perfect for young adventurers. The place is easy on your wallet, it is in the most center Athens as it can be and the roof terrace is awesome. The staff is relaxed and nice and there is guy at the desk 24/7. Beware, you will have to get the AC remote control separately for 4€ per night, I really recommend it if the temperature out is 37 celsius.

You get what you pay for. Sketchy street, no lockers, toilets were not clean and the showers didn't have locks or close properly. But if you want a cheap bed and don't care about the surroundings, then it works.
