The place is great, has its own bar on the rooftop and is perfectly located, close to the main attractions.

Great Hostel. Good location close to Omonia and Monastirake. Decor is quite nice and rooms are clean. Staff are excellent. Gave me great info about nightlife in Greece and stored my bags for me while I travelled around the Greek islands. They then helped me get a flight out of Greece and use the internet for free after my onward transportation from Greece was hampered by the strikes. They did all of this even though I had checked out several days before. They also manage Pella inn.

Well placed hostel. Close to the Plaka (5min walk) and to the major sites...Acropolis, Agora, Kerimikos, etc.... Basic facilities but that is par for course as this hostel is for those on a budget. Bonus is that it has a roof-top bar run by George and free internet access. All good and will return again.

Very conveniant to all you want to see in Athens (the Acropolis and Plaka) it literally is only a 5 minute walk. Not in the greatest area security wise but from what I've heard that's all of Athens anyway. Very clean and saw it being cleaned every day (cleaning lady woke me up a few times). Staff at the front kept to themselves but were kind and helpful if you asked any questions. Will be staying there again if I return to Athens..... plus the novelty of staying at Hostel Zeus is priceless!

The staff spoke english well and was willing to help us. The location was reasonable but could have been better. We stayed for just one short night, but I would stay there again.

Affordable and decent location. They offer an excellent tour which includes the main sights and more, ending with the changing of the guards. I would definitely recommend taking advantage of that as well as the sailing trip they offer. It's a lot of fun and it's absolutely incredible in the water! Private boat, swimming in the Mediterranean, relaxing on the beach, etc. The staff was very kind and helpful. Janky showers, but bearable.

The location is really very central - we were looking for a room to simply sleep in. We got what we wanted. The room was not cozy and you will have to pay 4 € for a/c. Wifi only downstairs. My girlfriend didn't like taking showers here, we both still recommend it for low--budget (short) stays.

If you only want cheap hostel, just go for it I considered it a cheap price for a double room. but except the price and the location, everything is not that pleasant. internet is bad if you do need internet

My room was nice, with sink and small balcony. Located very close to the Acropolis and main sights, but also in a street which is full of prostitutes at night... Internet is good, as long as it is working. There was no connection at least four times during the three days I stayed here, and the staff seems to do nothing about it, just give you the advice to wait. Further, almost no places to sit down using wifi. Only small bench at the reception, so take a chair two floors down...

The shower is a bit awkward. Two shower places in the same room for both boys and girls.

15 Euro - it was ok. But there´s no kitchen... The Street outside is very loud, strange people at night around this area.

got put in a room on the top floor directly opposite the bar which blasts music till 2am - not the best when you have an early flight in the morning. we asked to move so we got put in a different room downstairs which was great by the staff, even though they were reluctant.

Great location but we found this hostel not all that clean and well kept, and not the best atmosphere. Not sure if it's cos we were there after the peak time (5th sept) but the place seemed pretty quiet and the bar was only open 1 night out of 5, so not much going on. Also it is very close to a fairly dodgy part of town so doesnt always seem that safe around the area, especially at night.

Booked a private double room for 3 nights and ended up cancelling after 2 because the roof top bar is on the same floor, directly opposite the rooms and they had the bar open till 2am even though we were trying to sleep in our rooms. You have to pay for the air conditioning if you want it and the toilet and shower are in a combined room which completely floods when you use it. If you have a choice I would recommend staying somewhere else.

It was easy to get to and the staff was fairly nice.. However, I have told four native residence of Athens were I stayed and they all said it was the most dangerous place in the city. You will be asked by several people if you want drugs or if you want a girl to sleep with.. The neighbourhood is dirty and extremely noisy. On the upside it is cheap and fairly socialble..

My friend and I chose to don't care about the previous warning comments : FATAL ERROR !!! The worst hostel we've ever had. The staff is smocking at the reception. No WiFi, just on 4m². We had to make a shower with some worms on the floor. Only one woman to clean everyday, all the hostel (like 4 floors, of 4/5 rooms of 4 beds each), they exploit this poor woman. And the last, but not least, the location SO UNSAFE (prostitutes, junkies) which definetly make our stay an ABSOLUTE DISASTER.
