A great hostel in the center of Sarajevo. Yasmin has opened up his home to travelers, and this makes it a notch above a normal hostel. The common room, while smoky, is great to meet fellow travelers. And be sure to take his war tour through the hills-- very fascinating and puts your visit to Bosnia into context. Highly recommended.

Staff was very friendly, and the location was great.

Good clean hostel with good facilities, well placed for the old town in Sarajevo. But... not as easy to find as suggested by the directions (the number 1 tram doesn't seem to run on Sundays). On arrival they clearly weren't expecting me - I think they'd planned a family event without noticing I'd booked - which also meant I was the only one in the hostel so less than ideal.

Me and my friends really enjoyed staying here. Very central location close to the centre of town and the beer factory. This is a family run hostel and the family are very helpful and friendly. The father and son run a walking tour about the war which was very interesting and heart-breaking. The father was a soldier during the war so you get a first hand account of the realities of the war. The rooms are clean and spacious. We highly recommmend this hostel.

A wonderful hostel in a great location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean and secure with a small kitchen and two large communal areas. Located next to a very handy 24 hour supermarket and a tourist information office. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Hostel & Guest House SA was a very clean place with a great, knowledgeable host. He assisted me in finding my way around the city and had great recommendations for places to do/see in Sarajevo and Albania (my future destination). My only issue is that I could not stay longer; having only spent one night, I cheated the city a bit.

excellent war tour offered by the owner (veteran)! worth every lira of the 30 KM! cute common room, free coffee and tea, very nice atmosphere. no security lockers in the dorms but cameras outside the building. location is awesome, less than 5 min to the old town. all facilities were very clean, but only two showers for 15 guests - surprisingly they were always free when we wanted to use them ;) would definitely recommend :)

This fantastic family-owned hostel really helped make my visit to Sarajevo one that is both eye-opening and enjoyable. The free pick-up service was super helpful and everyone there made me feel comfortable and at home. If you get the chance, TAKE THE WAR TOUR! You will not be able to get the knowledge or experience anywhere else, and I promise that you will not regret it.

good hostel. The War Tour is really good to understand that time. small lockers just for wallet or passport. No breakfast. Free good wifi. Location was OK, some stairs to get back the hostel up hill when coming back from sightseeing or some beers

Nice modern hostel with very friendly and helpful staff, even picking me up from the bus station on arrival. Good hostel for meeting other like minded travellers and handy location too being just a 5 minute walk from the old town and close to the Sarajevska brewery.

Good hostel. The war tour is good. A lot of information about that hard time. Common room really good, wifi sometimes not working really good, beds and dorms are good with good space inside. Location is good but 10 minutes walking to the city center (with some stairs). good pick up service. Small locker for wallet, passport, ipod (small things, but not for laptop)

This is without a doubt the best hostel I have ever visited. The place has a very homely and convivial feel and is the perfect place to get an authentic Sarajevo experience. Yasmin and his family who run the hostel are very welcoming and are happy to share their local knowledge. You're also bound to meet lots of people here. A real oasis in the heart of Sarajevo.
