family run, was very quiet when i was there, but didn't mind that one bit. Jasmin and family were lovely hosts. really welcoming. Had an excellent war tour as well which would throughly recommend. The owner is a war veteran, which gave the tour extra significance. location is very safe as its near some government buildings but you have to go up a hill to get there. also location isn't completely in centre but close to old town and a brewery!!
clean place with friendly and helpful staff. the only problem is there are only small lockers; but staff can take care of your valuables if you ask them for it.
A great place to stay, I can recommend it. If you want a quieter stay, if your in for the great night life it's a 10 min walk, which really isn't a big deal too. Staff was very friendy also.
Nice big rooms, not many powerpoints, good wifi, no lockers, no breakfast provided, good kitchen facilities, however guests can smoke in the kitchen/common room, so you can be cooking and eating your food with cigarette smoke around you. Friendly staff, on the other side of the river, but only a short walk to get into the centre.
Very nice hostel. Place to meet nice people, yet no party hostel indeed. Family is very kind, and war session is extremely interesting and authentic.

Good hostel within walking distance of all major sites. The rooms were clean and spacious. Small kitchen with whatever you would need for a simple meal. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
Had a number of young children staying in my room when we were there. While a bit annoying to have the lights off before 9pm, this mostly meant that the atmosphere was a bit lacking at times. Up a number of stairs... careful coming in late; it's not incredibly well-lit. Comfortable, clean, and met some cool people. At least it's mother approved?
Central location, clean hostel. Nice common area to meet other guests. Small kitchen to make food in. Good wifi. No complaints
A nice calm and friendly environment, helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Fantastic hostel that gives you a great overview of Sarajevo the city and what it was like living here during the war, the war tour is incredible and the city tour was also very worthwhile. A lovely family environment who really looks after you as guests. We really enjoyed our stay here!

A lot of work has gone into making this a comfortable and convenient place to stay. It's not a party hostel, but the owner goes out of his way to make sure you settle in fine and get what and where you want. He's a genuinely interested and interesting guy, and if you manage to stay there, he's very worth spending time talking with.
We would definitely recommend this hostel. Also the war "tour" they offer is a must do! Jasmin and his sun Arijan (Jasmins wife also but I don't know here name) are very helpful and will do everything to make your stay remeberable. One of the nights Arijan taked us together to the Sarajevsko beer factory a few blocks away. This was really a nice evening.
This is a very good hostel. It is very good value for money compared to other Sarajevo hostels - it has free wifi, a stunning view over the city, is quiet but still also sociable, and still very near to the centre. More importantly it is a unique opportunity to learn more about the history of Sarajevo. The historical tour they offer is amazing, a chance to ask the owner, a war veteran, about his experiences in the siege. Definitely stay here if you can
I am very surprised that this hostel was top-rated, at 95%. The hostel is nearly impossible to find in the evening and is not exactly in the city center as stated. While close, it's still a 10-15 minute walk through not the best neighborhoods. No good map or overview of the city and failed to tell us they only accept cash until we were leaving, when we of course had no Mark left. Everything just seemed a bit unorganized. The hostel is a clean place to sleep, but besides that, doesn't offer much.
The people at hostel and guest house SA were fantastic and the facilities were very clean. It was close to town as well. I would easily stay here again.
Not in the center but very close to the old town (stari grad). Sarajevski Beer Factory's restaurant is very close to here and best place in sarajevo!
Questionable location, whilst not faraway you could probably get nearer to the centre, as there are a great many stairs to walk up which doesn't feel very safe. Temperamental showers that were a little dated. Hostel was quite cramped and the lockers were too small to store valuables. Not a friendly hostel.
good choice, good atmosphere for backpacking people. specially recomended the war tour, but remember it's a VIRTUAL tour, all inside one room. Really interesting experience. Excellent Staff. Good choice.
Nice hostel, we had a good time there
This was one of the best hostels I have stayed so far. Everything was so enjoyable, the hostel is neat, well kept, has a common room where everyone meets and offers a lot of support. And it was spotless clean.
