Ana runs a terrific hostel. She makes sure everyone is included and everyone gets to know what raki is, Dubronik style. Wonderful Croatian host team. Really friendly. Plenty of stairs to get you to a bathroom view that is unbeatable.
Hostel had a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and guests. Good vibes.
Expensive but worth the money if only for the fantastic atmosphere and location. But honestly all of dubrovnik is expensive because of the recent game of thrones hype. One of the best hostels I stayed at on my eastern European trip if not only for Maris, Ana's daughter who was a fantastic host. Met lots of fantastic people here and stayed an extra night because it was so great!
The staff (Ana and her daughter) are awesome! They make you feel like at home. If you need something, they will make it happen. It is a place absolutely drama free. Every evening hostess incite people joining them to have some drinks in the common room upstairs, you can't miss the homemade grappa! Don't hesitate to go to the restaurant around the corner that Ana recommends, the food is awesome.
The hostel receptionist is an amazingly attractive young siren. She plays the role as temptress and tease to perfection. The hostel is as high up as a winding castle stairwell and the rooms can feel like a wendyhouse. It's as good as one can expect in Dubrovnik.
Ana i'm jiyeong. IT'S EMERGENCY. I lost my passport. But not your house. So i need to know bus station number. I can't find which one was my bus company. I left Dubrovnik 27th August 6pm bus then I've arrived in Ljubljana 7 in the morning. Just check it then if you can, tell me the bus company name. thx my Email address : firstname.lastname@example.org
I'll keep it short and sweet. Stay here. Little bit pricier, but worth the price of admission.
Everything positive you've heard about this place is absolutely true, and anything negative you've heard is a filthy lie. Stop thinking about it and just book. Now. Do it do it do it.
It's good however it's very noisy

Hostel Ana is the best spot to stay in Dubrovnik hands down, I was only intended on staying in Dubrovnik one night, I ended up staying 9, as the hostel atmosphere was so good. The location is excellent and Ana and Maris (Jo Jo) make you feel at home. Grappa shots darling ?
Thanks for your hospitality and making us feel at home.
This is hands down the best hostel we have ever stayed in!! Ana and Maris are the perfect hosts, the location is amazing as it's right in the centre of the old town. We felt as if if we where at home from the very first night and could barely stand to leave. Don't even read anymore reviews, just book this place and enjoy the ridiculous amounts of grappa that comes with it!! We will most definitely be back, couldn't recommend it anymore. So much love from Gemma and Sara xxx

Right from the moment we rocked up to the hostel we were greeted by a welcoming warm happy family, we were quickly familiarised with the hostel and introduced to all the local and hotspots. Throughout our stay we were treated like family, the vibe around the hostel with the other guests was quite amazing. Ana and Maris was one of the most genuine and caring people we have come across on our trip, they always made sure we were never hungry and always had a glass of grupa. Thank you darlings!
Maris. Ana. Grappa hour. Best people. Best location. All of this make Hostel Ana THE place to stay in Dubrovnik.
I am glad I booked here. The staff (mother and daughter) are what make this place a great place to stay. They are very welcoming and caring, and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable the second you arrive! The rooms are a bit tight compared to other rooms I stayed in, but you still felt comfortable. The hostel is literally right in the middle of Old Town but the rooms are quiet enough that you can still sleep (plus there is AC). I would recommend this place for sure.
This place was more than what I expected. It is inviting, inclusive, and they care, running an amazing business. Can't wait to go back. We all gathered in the kitchen/living room every night to drink Grappa (local drink). It doesn't feel required (I stayed in my room some nights). Literally, if you are looking to meet people, feel involved, and explore Dubrovnik with others: this Hostel cultures a family atmosphere. I left after 4 nights with so many new close friends, we all had an amazing time
The Staff is very excellent and gave us a very good recommendations. The en-suite for two persons was very good, the only thing is that the lock was difficult to open inside the room ( therefore we have to sleep with the door unlock ).
Run by very welcoming and generous family. A great environment to meet people!

Cool hostel. I was here in peak season so of course it was going to be expensive. Apart from that it's good vibes and the family run hostel is very welcoming
Best hostel ever! Ana and Maris were so warm and welcoming, and make amazing grappa! Don't go there thinking you will get away with not drinking it.. They set an amazing atmosphere in the common room once the sun goes down :) so many great memories from my 2 nights. Only little annoyance is the lockers weren't big enough to fit my 55L back pack.. But would I do it all again?! Hell yes!!
