I've booked a double private and had to stay in a 5-bed-dorm (it was too late to find another hostel). I'd already paid 10% of the amount (w/ higher cost, for sure) and had just partial refund because they couldn't find the reservation e-mail from Hostelworld... (that's not my problem 'cause I had the reservation reference). By the way, it's too noisy at night. The common area for parties is right in front of some dorms. If you're not in the mood for that, you can't even rest..

Hostel de La Linda had a kind staff and great atmosphere. Everybody hung out together in the kitchen/living room area making it very easy to make new friends. The cumbia music was always playing keeping up the vibe. The staff made asados almost every night and got us into boliches fo free! Even though we checked out at 11am on the last day we were able to keep our bags in a back room until our bus left at 9pm. This hostel is really popular with Israeli travelers who were very fun. Overall GREAT!

Very nice hostel close to the center of Salta for a very good price. Unfortunately there were no security lockers and the room sometimes was too hot to sleep well (there is a big fan in the room, but maybe not all the guests agree to turn it on for the night)
