Decent overall. Good breakfast: better than the average bread and jam, plus yogurts and cereal. Helpful staff. My only complaint is the space in the cabin, which was a 10-person but really should only be 6, so all the bags were very much in everyone's way. But if you're in Punta del Diablo, you shouldn't spend much time in your hostel room anyhow, so it was worth it to me.
Most importantly the hostel was in walking distance to the beautiful beaches of Punta del Diablo. But somedays it was worth just hanging out at the hostel in all of the great outdoor space available, taking in the good atmosphere and playing with the dogs. Great effort is made to keep the hostel clean and tidy - especially the bathrooms. Also, the kitchen is probably the most well stocked and spacious that I have experienced when hosteling. It's a hostel worth visiting!!
Great hostel with a very friendly owner. Its a 10 minute walk to the beach.
Uruguay is expensive so most places dorms per person were the price of privates most other places, but the facilities were amazing. Nice big kitchen, great pool and outdoor area, amazing staff. Breakfast was basic but good. A bit of a hike into town and to the beaches but they rent bikes and everything as well. Small mini mart down the street is good for picking up odds and ends for cooking, hostel also sells some food. Had some issues with people coming in the room numerous times very late.
I dont generally review, but this hostel needed a mention. From the moment we were picked up from the bus stop Seb and the team made us feel hugely welcome. Great atmosphere and things to do. Great array of food and drinks to buy. Awesome spot to meet other travellers to hit the beach (15mins walk) with together. Would 100% recommend! Cheers guys - Alex (NZ)

This is probably my favorite hostel I have stayed at so far. The people that own it and work here are great, the kitchen is really nice, the ambiance is great, and the facilities are clean. Other people knocked the location but it's not a far walk from the beach and it's nice to just stay here too because there so much to do like the pool, pool table, volley ball, dance stage, etc. Also a nice perk is that they pick you up from the bus station!
Nice place, beach a few minutes walk away. Bigger beach with more people, places to eat and buy about 15-20 minutes away. Great staff, good kitchen and facilities.
Very nice hostel, but a bit too big. I didn't feel the atmosphere was typical to a hostel, more to a hotel. Most people were in large groups, few solo travelers. Location is far from everything, beach, stores, food. The hostel is well equipped, clean, staff very nice. They even drive you to/from the bus station with the car!
This is a party hostel, so if you're visiting Punta del Diablo for some chill time, pick another place. The backyard will be a bumpin' tunes until the wee hours. Also the drop off between 4 and 6 bedroom dorms and 10 bed dorms is STEEP. We stayed two nights, one in a nice 4 bed dorm, then the next night was in a disconnected shabby separate building with the 10 bed crew. It was pretty dirty and full of bugs/mosquitoes. I don't just want to complain though. Great staff who go above and beyond.
Very busy - loads of people packed in! Seb was one of the best hostel managers!
The best hostel we've ever stayed at. Great atmosphere, great facilities, wifi, everything. The location could be better but it definitely makes up for it. The owner is always present, helpful and wiling to run you to and from the bus station (for free) and the alcohol inside the hostel is cheap (supermarket price) which is always a plus. Highly recommend it.
I really liked the atmosphere at the hostel. Met a lot of great people there. It is awesome that the staff picks you up and brings you back to the bus terminal. The common area, garden and kitchen are very spacious and nice. I rented a bike at the hostel to go to the nature reserve with was exhausting but great. Would definitely come back to this place.
This hostel has a fun, friendly atmosphere with really helpful staff. The kitchen is great and the garden is lovely too. The dorms are quite cramped (we stayed in a 6 bed) though, and it's a little way from the centre. If you're just going to the beach though it's fine and very close to Playa de la Viuda. Breakfast was nice - bread and fruit and cereal and good jams. Overall it was okay value for money, but the staff made it great! The owner even dropped us at the bus terminal!
I had a great stay here thanks to the clean facilities, exceptionally good service and great atmosphere. It is a small walk down to the center but it's not a problem. The front desk will help you with whatever problem you may have. During my stay it was a bus strike and the staff was very helpful to sort things out for all the guests, give lift, call embassies, help out with unused tickets and stuff. I can definitely recommend to stay here!
Amazing hostel!!! Kitchen was perfect, they have everything! The owners of the hostel are incredibly kind as well as the other employees. The vibes are truly great. This hostel really feels like a home, you won't want to leave. Highly recommend!
