What a great hostel! Lovely large communal area and kitchen, swimming pool, table tennis table, TV and DVD player, pool table and a nice garden with hammocks to chill out in. The breakfast had fresh bread and pastries with lots of jam - although if you arrive early morning don't sit down to breakfast if you want some on check out day! Staff were really helpful, rooms were clean with lockers for valuables. The hostel was a bit out of town but you can get lifts into town & only takes 15mins to walk

We were picked up from the bus drop. The staff was very friendly and the whole hostel is very clean. You actually don't have to leave the hostel - everything you can ask for they have right there.

I really enjoyed my stay in Hostel de la Viuda. The staff was really helpful and friendly and the hostel had a great back yard with hammocks, pool, pingpong table, pool table and lots more. They also had a big collection of movies you could watch when the weather was a bit poor.

A very good hostel. Location is not perfect (it is on the other side of the village from the beach, still close but could be better but you can always hitch a ride with the owner that is in town 10 times a day) but lots of facilities and very good people! I'm afraid of dogs so was hesitated to stay here but the dogs are the best, if anything I lost some of my fear of the animals!

This was a really charming hostel! The kitchen is amazing! People really cool you really feel at home. The only negative point is the hostel is a little far from the center (15min by walk) I recommend this hostel!!

The hostel was a bit out of the way, but you do get picked up and dropped off at the bus stops, which is very good. It would be a tough slog with a backpack on. It´s a bit of a pain walking to the town, but other than the supermarkets and bus stops, there is little need. The staff keep the place extremely clean and are all lovely, spare for one guy, who is a bit mood dependent, though always does help and give the advice you need. I do recommend this place, but it is crowd dependent

I could not have asked for a better first hostel experience. The staff is amazing, they were at the bus stop waiting for us when we got to Punta del Diablo. The people staying there were fantastic as well, everyone was very friendly. It's a little far from town, but if you like to explore and don't mind walking this shouldn't be a problem for you. Definitely recommend it!

I had a really good time at that Hostel. The staff was always very nice and helpful, the atmosphere was really relaxed and the hostel itself was clean and had everything you need, to have a good time. The breakfast was really good too! I would definitely stay there again.

If you are coming to Punta del Diablo, you ABSOLUTELY MUST STAY AT HOSTEL DE LA VIUDA!! First and foremost, the staff here are amazing. Kind, helpful, and personable, the staff here really make this place special. In addition, the amenities here are outstanding! With a heated pool, pool table, countless hammocks, bikes to rent, and much much more. Not to mention, the fully equipped kitchen allowing for a nice home cooked meal. And best of all, on the last night, we had a delicious asado!

Hostel located in a very dark zone at night, far from the city center (where credit cards are accepted and VAT is consequently refunded).Very late breakfast, so you lose a lot of time every day.The number of outlets is far from enough, then you may have to go to the living room and dogs jump on your laptop computer while you're trying to pay your bills without making mistakes. Then one of the girls in the staff tells you to stop "hitting" her pet.People leave their dirty backpacks on the empty beds

Very clean, friendly and fun hostel. Great staff, always helpful and accomodating. The evenings in the common room and outdoor areas are entertaining and fun - and can last quite a bit ;-)

Great hostel, nice people. A little far from the beach (because this is why you come to punta del diablo). Facilities are great (pool) and it's clean!

Great vibe and super friendly staff. Sebastian will meet you t bus terminal and return you if you let him know when arriving. I think he meets most buses so ask around if not arranged. It´s a good hike otherwise. There is a shuttle (you pay) if you can´t find Sebastian but centre is still a good way from hostel, better to phone him perhaps.
