Hostel de la Viuda is so far the best hostel I stayed in South America! The staff is very friendly and helpful and they really give you the feeling that they want that you enjoy your stay there! There is a nice garden with a tower to have nice views around the area. They also have a swimming-pool, table-football, billiard and you can also rent bikes there. If I come back to Punta del Diablo I'll definately stay at the Hostel de la Viuda again and therefore I can highly recommend it to others!!!!
Loved this hostel! The staff were sweet and always more than willing to help with whatever we needed.
Great place! They pick you up from the bus station, kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of bathroom. Everything is clean and there is always a good vibe in the house I hightly recommend this place.
I enjoyed the stay in la viuda very much. Gauda y Seba (the couple who run the hostel) are very kind, they help a lot, get you from the busstation and try to improve every detail in the hostel. Amazing Breakfast! Nice Pool to hang out! Do the horseriding, it`s amazing!
Seba and his staff were great during out stay at the hostel. It's not in the main part of town, but it wasn't too long of a walk to get there. The pool and all the hammocks were awesome. I would definitely stay here again!

This hostel is perfect. We even extended our stay because it was so great. Two other couple we met also did this. Well worth staying here
We recently stayed for 5 nights and left with mixed opinions. First of all the staff are great and gave us an upgrade from dorms to a double room but the room was close to the communal area and was noisy until midnight or later every night. The facilities are excellent and new development was happening as we were there. The location was a bit of an issue (20-25 mins walk to town centre) which is the reason most people stayed at the hostel which made the communal areas feel crowded.
Such a wonderful place and wonderful staff. Absolutely spotless and great facilities, staff will give you any info you need and help you with anything you need sorted. Breakfast is good. Plenty of pots, pans etc so you can cook your own food. Free pick up service from bus stop. They sell things from the hostel at a reasonable price, saving a trip to the shop. I hope Liona gets well soon
