Nice large and bright rooms and nice common area. You should ask for a room on the upper floor because the ceilings are very thin and so they make loud screaking noises when people walk above you It's about a 10 minute walk to the centre.

Hostal clean and big place in the dorms but much noise from the rooms upstairs A little bit cold atmosphere and the team is not really friendly Very poor breakfast !

Staff were nice upon arrival but became more blunt and rude as the days progressed. Kitchen was small and had no basics like a cork screw and matches. We had beer taken and another group had beer and pizza taken. The location is in a back street about 6 blocks from the Main Street. Whilst it's only a 10min walk, it can be a little un-nerving after dark. In short, stay somewhere else.

The rooms are simple and small but the beds are fine. The staff (especially the young man) are friendly and very helpfull. I only didn't like the toilets in the shared bathroom. They are broken.

The noise when people walk on the stairs or upstairs was quite unbearable in the room downstairs. It will be good to cushion this noise somehow. Otherwise it becomes very difficult to sleep in the night in the room downstairs.

Good bits first; The staff were friendly and it was easy to book great day trips to the glacier & TdP through them. The common area is large, spacious, comfortable and clean. Bad bits next; As they provide breakfast you are requested not to use the kitchen in the morning. As we had a private room, we didn't have lockers, it is requested you leave your key at reception which is not manned 24 hrs. So anybody could take the keys. My bed had a strange divot making it slightly uncomfortable

Nice comfy hostel in El Calafate. Staff was nice and helpful , but no english was spoken. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen however wasn't that brilliant. Toaster was not working, there were only 4 broken cups available for the guests and only few plates and cuttlery. Breakfast was very basic. Still we enjoyed the stay (Value for Money was top) and would recommend it.
