Really nice hostel. Unbeatable location. Roomy dorms and good beds, all with reading lamps. Breakfast could be better and 4 euros for a towel is a little pricey. Otherwise, can't complain.

There was just one shower without any curtain in a 10 bed room and no lockers were available. The staff was really nice though and the hostel is close to nice pubs and metro.

There was no door or shower curtain for the shower in the room that we stayed in which made me and my travel companion uncomfortable. Thus there should be at least a shower curtain.

The service during the day was reasonable, but the night service was absolutely terrible, I've never been treated so badly, yet all we did was come in after midnight. The atmosphere was nonexistent, and the rooms were filthy and extremely basic for the price. The showers had no curtains, the toilets were disgusting and one toilet to share with as many people is not acceptable. I would never recommend this place, even with such a great location

The location is super good, 24 hours reception service, breakfast is ok. However, also some negative points: 1 when we arrived, we were informed that the room type (10 female dorm) didn't available any more, we should change to 3 female dorm. 2 The bathroom doesn’t have a curtain or a door. 3 Need to pay for the access of Wi-Fi. 4 The public toilette smells bad.

I booked for 4 nights at Hostel des Bernardins on this site. When I came to hostel, they told me they didn't receive anything about my bookings even though I paid 10% of the booking fee.

The place felt like a prison camp. The staff really need to get it together and make even the smallest effort, such as a screen for the shower or a ladder to the top bunks. Terrible place, terrible staff. Good location but thats all.

Especially for the dorms not having a curtain on the shower proved inconvenient. Otherwise I had a great stay.

There's no lift so you have to climb up a tall spiral stairs! We got only one key per room, so our new roomate who checked in late have to knock on the door when we were sleeping in the middle of the night! There is no door or curtain or whatsoever at the shower. There's no view from the window, we felt like we were in jail. The cuirtain was so small, not even close to cover the whole window. The surrounding was gloomy and the staff was quite unfriendly also.

This was in a great location near Notre Dame and close to metro stops. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The location of the hostel is great, really close to Notre Dame, so you are really quick in town and close by the attractions. Also, it is easy to get there from Gare de Lyon/Austerlitz. Staff was very friendly. The room was quite clean, shower curtains/door or even a bathroom doors were missing. Smaller shops to get food are very close by. All in all, not bad for the price.
