Summary of traveller reviews

Hostel Ospitalia del Mare in Cinque Terre offers a fantastic base for exploring the region, with guests praising its excellent location close to the beach and train station. The staff are frequently mentioned as friendly and helpful. While the hostel is generally clean and offers good value, some recent reviews note that the rooms can get very hot due to a lack of air conditioning, and the beds can be noisy.

Excellent stay!! We loved Levanto and the location - such a cute town with a good vibe and much more affordable than staying inside the cinque terre. Rooms get pretty hot during as it is a pretty old building and there is no AC but apart from that it was very good value for money. Would recommend !

It’s extremely hot in the rooms during summer. The beds are SUPER creaky and there’s a bell tower nearby that rings every 15-30 mins throughout the night which wakes me up even as a deep sleeper. Can’t say I was comfortable actually sleeping here unfortunately.

Great beautiful area, very accessible. Short walk to nice beach in Levanto and quick trains to Cinque Terre which is super picturesque. The hostel itself was slightly unclean but nothing too unexpected considering it's a small beach town. Also a bit annoying that reception closes at important hours but the staff were friendly outside of that. Solo travellers are the main audience but also there were older folk, who also are nice but are more likely to snore!!!
