The guy who owns it is really cool, he gave me lots of advice as i was travelling alone. The internet is great, you can use it out back. Amazing coffee shop called the Greenhouse down the road, plus its easy to get to from Central station. Only downside was that breakfast wasn't included but I guess it would be hard to provide for so many people. If you are bothered with the possibility of being the only girl in a dorm with 3 other guys (like I was) pick one of the larger rooms.

I am not a particulary "picky" person. The standard of this Hostel was pretty average, but I am satisfied as long as I got a roof over my head without paying a lot. I guess in a way this Hostel provided me with what I needed in my stay. Pretty much one of the cheapest Hostels in Amsterdam if you look to where it's located. However, it's those small things that makes you wanna come back to a Hostel. Due to the poor service (accept for the very friendly asian guy), I don't think I will return./MSE

May be it is common in NL, but I would be nice to inform the guests in advance, that if they would like to pay by credit/debit card, there will be a 5% service charge. Beside that, the room was clean, the the place is in very central of Amsterdam and we had a very good stay.

The stay there was very pleasant, the staffs were friendly. We got the 6 bed private room, it was very clean. They also have a smoking room which is really convenient. I don't really get why the reviews for this hostel are so bad, made us have second thoughts bout staying in this hostel, but I reckon it was better than a few hostels i've stayed before in Amsterdam.

I would stay here again just because of the great location! Its close to everything so thats great. The breakfasts at the hostel are ok around about 7/8 Euros but the drinks like a can of coke is a rip off its like 2.50 Euros so dont buy drinks from the bar if you are not drinking beer. The staff were nice did not have a problem. All in All it was a good stay.

Had a great time at this hostel... the location was wonderful only a few minutes walk from central station and close to many bike rental shops, our choice for transportation in the city. The rooms were clean(we stayed in a multi-person room, 8 beds) beds were quickly changed after other guests departed and there were lockers available for our personal items which worked well and one locker was able to fit two back packs and a small duffle(bring your own lock or you have to rent!) We'll be back!!

Awesome area of town, right near a large historic church in the red light. The only draw backs are the lockers are too small for average-large sized backpacks and the staff was laughably rude at check in and throughout our stay. But it all added to the quirkiness of the place!

Great location. Decent bar downstairs to relax. Bathrooms clean. Small lockers in room. Generally a good place to stay. Only concern is the way the room doors unlock on both inside and outside with key makes emegency fire escape at night difficult. A slight to moderate hazard, especially if intoxicated.

Great location, safe and central. Near train station. No kitchen. Good bar downstairs acts as good common room. Key locks on doors dependent if locked by others or not. Bathrooms clean and good. Easy to meet people. Few electrical outlets in rooms for devices. Poor ventilation in rooms. Small lockers in rooms, but staff advised not to use them for valuables. No internet. Generally very good, would stay here again.
