Perfect for traveling

The lady is the nicest lady I've ever met, she's like a mum... Not much happening at the hostel really so wouldn't rate it to much...

Family owned and amazing! They are so sweet, especially the older lady (mid-sixties). It is good to have closer to exact change for your room cost since it's not like a cashier with ample change (since it's family owned). location is five minute walking from the Ljubljana castle, right near the market in old town adjacent to the square. The rooms are super spacious with closets to put your bags (with individual keys so it is yours for your stay..for free). Free laundry too! Grgreat stay!

Staff was just creepy. The lady came into our dorm without knocking and starred at us for a few seconds before saying anything (more than once). So she basically just stood there, staring, making us feel really uncomfortable. Both days, after we came back, the door was unlocked although there was nobody else staying in the dorm (one day it even was wide open)! On the last evening she bugged us about locking the door, that we were not supposed to lock it (although we got a key)... Weird!

Still in the progress of being built, although it was finished enough to stay in. Can see that this hostel has potential to be excellent when completed, but was disappointed that it was not completed for our stay. Location is excellent, very close to the city centre and also a 5-10 minute walk to the main train station, staff were very friendly and co-operative. Cleanliness could be improved, but I'm sure that will come with finishing the building. Good value for money.

The hostel was in a great location for exploring the city, and was in the midst of many small bars, resteraunts and shops. The staff were lovely too and very helpful. However, they again had a problem with their computers and so seemed to double book rooms, as we had originally booked a private room but there were only shared dorms left. We did however get some money back. Overall, a good hostel for those exploring the city on a budget!

The lady gave our room to guests who arrived earlier.to solve the issue she gave us a bigger room. The hostel is quiet old but the stuff has all the good intention to help. The location is 2 min walk from the central square.

I think this hostel could have a lot of potential once the renovations are complete and things get running smoothly. Website said that reception opened at 9am yet when I got there at 9:45 and apparently woke the receptionist up who told me it was actually 11am and was grumpy that she had to check someone in was kinda strange. The location in really the redeeming quality, it was nice and quiet a night even though it was pretty much in the heart of town was really nice.

This place is a home away from home. I could not put this place much higher on my list of awesome. The lady is learning English but goes out of her way to help you. It is perfectly located for being dropped off as just before the car cut off zone, is easy walking distance to the center (5mins) and all the other cool stuff. Really laid back. They are not always at reception giving you a relaxed atmosphere.

our receptionist spoke very poor english and did not know the prices.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The receptionist is nice and doing the best to have a clean and nice place. The location is just great.

Bad experience! Our room was overbooked but instead of at least saying sorry, the hostel owner made us feel bad and not welcome at all. He tried to force the other hostel guests to share a room so we could have our own, all this in a rude manner. Overall, he made us feel like this was our fault. His mother "offered" us to sleep on the reception floor... To be fair, he eventually got it sorted out and drove us to a hotel which was about 2km from the city center and paid the price difference.

When we arrived around 8PM in april 2014 the recepcionist told us that he had a problem with the information system and he had overbooked, so actually we did not have the chance to spend the night there. However, the recepcionist deeply apologised and made a great effort to find other hostel for us, paying the difference of the more expensive hostel where we finally were hosted.

Not enough security. No one to say that it is time to sleep at 5:30 in the morning.
