one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. fantastic staff, informative owners [even have a downloadable PDF for getting to Ecuador safely], clean rooms. location is slightly out of the center, but it's only a 10-minute walk. wireless internet leaves much to be desired, but other than that fantastic. best hostel in Colombia hands-down.

Very cool hostel in Popayan! Brilliant staff with their knowledge of the city and the area, it assisted in future plans throughout Colombia. Highly recommended with good areas for chatting and meeting people.

Great hostel. It's not too far from the center, and an easy walk. The only issue I had was noise. The street below is noisy and the doorbell seemed far too loud. Other than that, it's a great hostel and very much worth staying at.

Pleasant facility. Typical Hostel. Private room helps to make the experience work well, IMHO. Private bath was fine (clean and adequate, reasonably hot water a la South American style). Staff was friendly, accessible and helpful. Good price and easy walk to center of town. Information provided about area was adequate but not great. You need to get out there and take a look. I did trip report on Lonely planet Thorntree (8.25.11) with some information on town and restaurants.

Everything you could need from a hostel. So much information - as expected from the headquarters of the hostel trail website, based in what seemed to be a purpose built building, a fantastic bike and hot springs trip organised by the hostel, great book shop, great location between bus terminal and main square, really knowledgeable staff, comfortable rooms (we had a 'lounge´in our private room) and very secure. Our only niggle was the night staff who were pretty off-ish. Thoroughly recommended.
