We had a good time in Amsterdam but we spent almost all of our time outside the hostel. Our room was TINY, but it is a houseboat so that is to be expected. We couldn't do much except sleep in our room, but it forced us out into the city which was good. My only major complaint is that public transportation is about a 10 minute walk from the houseboat, which can be frustrating late at night. This place is really worth a stay! The rooms are very small but once you get there you won't care about that. The lady that owes it is doing everything on her own very successfully! If you are looking for a different experience of accomendation, it is a nice choice. But if you are looking for something really nice and cozy, better choose the normal hostel instead of boat because the room is extremely small. I already knew it from the previous comments, but still got surprised when I entered the room. However the staff was very nice by waiting for us later than their closing time due to our late train. So romantic to sleep on a boat... however, if you are tall, do not go there... breakfast is delicious and the lady is very nice.
