Loved it here. We booked 2 nights and ended up staying 5. Felt like home, perfect for a relaxing few days. Staff were also local and very knowledgeable about the city

Hostelche is like my second home. I have not felt more comfortable anywhere! Had such a cool vibe, the people who run the place are awesome, friendly, down to earth and incredibly helpful. I highly recommend this place - if you are thinking of going somewhere else, dont. Its the best place in Belgrade!!! -Anton

Very helpful and friendly staff. WOnderful tips about the city, help with transfer to airport and even other cities. Small hostel but very cozy. Awesomely located just outside kalemegdan and a 2-minute walk to the main pedestrian area. Would definitely stay here again.

Very cool hostel. The location is very central, close to the main sights of the city. Almost all can be visited by feet. The staff (Jelena and Bojana) is very nice and helpful. They give you good tips and adress for food or drink. The hostel is small but very clean and the dorms are spacious compared to mainly other hostels. If i come back to Belgrade i would go back to hostelche for sure.

Their facilities are among the very best I've ever seen: you have so much room for yourself that you get the impression you're visiting a (well off) friend. Staff, specially Jelena and Bojana, go absolutely out of their way to help with anything, and the place is very clean. Well equiped kitchen, but underused since food is quite cheap. There's something missing thou... maybe 12 beds is not enough to reach the critical point of backpackers interaction. It'd be good to fix the shower hanger.

The reviews that state this place is like an apartment are accurate. Small hostel with very friendly staff. Staff gave us all the information that we needed. Very clean. Feels more like you are living with your family/friends. Very comfortable and welcoming. One of the best hostels i've stayed at and I wish more were like this.

Definitely the best hostel of the eastern europe. I had 3 amazing days in Belgrade. The staff is very friendly and speaks perfect english. Especially, Jelena is the best... Rooms are very clean and the common room is perfect to socialize. It is at the best location of the city and everywhere you wanna go (Clubs, bars, restaurants), are very close. I will be back in the summer and stay in Hostelche again... By the way, if you go to Belgrade, do not forget to try Rakija...

Great friendly staff and just a cool little funky hostel. If you are coming from the airport i would be more inclined to get a taxi instead of getting the bus. Espically at night!

Perfect place to relax. Totally recommended, I have been in many hostels and this is one of the best. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, the living room is very big and comfortable, you can watch movies, be online... Kitchen is great, fully equiped, and you have all you need for a good breakfast (for free). And the rooms and bathroom the same, big, nice, clean, perfect. If I go again to Belgrad, of course I will chose the again hostelche.

We arrived in Belgrade in a national State of Emergency following a ridiculously cold and snowy time. It was difficult to walk around, let alone drive or such things. The sidewalk was a snow drift, but inside, Hostelche was cozy, warm, a refuge. Our host, Dunia and her team were the most lovely, kind and well advising group of people we have ever had the opportunity of staying with. The next time we're near Belgrade we will be sure to stop in and stay; we have advised our friends to do so.

What a great hostel in a great location in Belgrade. Just right down the street from the Fortress and right next door from one of the oldest restaurants in town. Everything about this hostel was nice. It isn't a party hostel but it is a good time. The staff is great! Very knowledgeable and fun people who are great to talk with!

Excellent experience during my two-night stay. Dunya and Gelena (staff) were great: they spoke excellent English and provided a warm welcome and lots of information about the city (be sure to take the free 2-hour walking tour!). The location is less than 10 minutes walking from Republic Square--perfect for playing tourist but away from congestion and noise. I much appreciated the no-smoking policy and adherence. My only negative is that the written directions were a bit confusing.
