a lovely place for a weary traveller, cozy&clean, home-like decoration and interior,nice 6-bed-room, a kitchen where people where eating and chatting a bit in the evening. Located in a beautiful, quiet alley (small road?) just near the centre and all. helpful and nice staff! would definitely recommend to all! (expect if you like heavy partying and staying up late this may not be your place, but for nice discussions perhaps :)

Stayed here over New Years, our room was very clean and so were the bathrooms, beds were really comfortable and the pillows were a decent size! Staff were really awesome at helping us find things happening in town that suited our tastes which was cool.

Fantastically located hostel within walking distance of the main train and bus stations, and situated on the edge of the Vilnius Old Town. The staff at Hostelgate are fantastic, and were able to answer all questions we put to them. The facilities at Hostelgate are faultless - large, well appointed kitchen, fast and reliable wifi, as well as a foosball table for guest use. Well priced and clean, we'd happily stay at Hostelgate again.

really nice hostel, cheap and great location!

Nice hostel. In the old town, helpful staff and clean. No locks on the room doors but you can get a locker if you leave a deposit and there's a door code to get into the hostel from the street, plus you then go past reception anyway. If you want to stay in there's a nice living room with a TV with films and a big kitchen. Recommended.

very good for the price!

Main problem with this hostel was its cleanliness and upkeep. The shower in both bathrooms didn't work properly, and one bathroom was very mouldy. Kitchen was also dirty and light bulbs were out. There were also cigarette-ends left in our room in spite of it being "cleaned" before arrival. In these conditions it seemed pretty silly to be asked to take your shoes off at the front door!

Quality hostel, everything you needed. Cheap rooms, good beds, decent showers and great staff.

Very good place to stay in Vilnuis! close to everything. Quiet place and staff helpful.Just there was no heating yet this week, so we had to sleep with pants and pullover! Not so much fun hostel certainely because it was not the appropriate period! If i come back to Vilnuis other period of time there are chances to come back in this hostel ;)

location is good, the lady at front desk is very helpful. Bathroom is spacious and clean. We stayed only one night there, would've stay longer.

The HostelGate, is a welcoming Hostel, well situated in the old town, with friendly staff. You should do the 12 O'Clock tour out the front of the town hall, which operate everyday during summer, less so on off season. The only down side is the Dorm-rooms doors do not lock, but only hostel patrons have access to the hostel anyway, and there are storage lockers available, and I feel safe with my fellow backpackers. My stay was so great I stayed an additional night.

Very good hostel. Enjoyed my stay there immensely. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Stayed 3 nights in a private room and 1 night in the dorm. If I ever go back to Vilnius I will stay in this hostel again.

The low scores for Character and Fun are just because it was clearly a quiet time of the year and the few other guests that were there were very quiet and didn't seem interested in speaking. Not the hostel's fault. The staff were terrific, friendly, enthusiastic and helpful and the hostel was spotlessly clean. I'm sure it's a great place to be with the right crowd of people :-)

1. Location - Perfect. As it written on the information it's in the old town and grocery stores, restaurants, places to see are very close to the hostel. 2.Staff - There were 4 staffs in the hostel when I was staying there every staff was kind and friendly. 3.Facility - Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are good enough for nice staying. especially kitchen. It has everything you need. very well equipped. And bathroom was also very good. + I was supposed to stay here for 3 nights but I extended.
