I have stayed at the Hostelito a few times. This time it was not as clean as it normally is. There was a big group of girls staying who were not great about cleaning up after themselves, but there were some cleaning that was neglected. I had to pull wads of hair out of the drain before being able to shower. There were old shampoo packages and paper towel on the shower floor. Mirrors and taps were dirty. It never was like this in my past visits so I was rather disappointed this time.

This hostel had a really nice common area and outdoor kitchen. Our double room with ensuite was large and clean with TV and AC. It has a good location in town and is within walking distance to the port and many restaurants. As with any place in town, you must take a taxi or rent a car to get to the good snorkelling/swimming places.

The hostel was funky and styish. The rooftop terrance was nice, but the hammocks were quite ragged. There is a kitchen, but it doesn't have all the cooking utensils you might need, such as a can opener, and the shelves in the fridge are broken. But, it is nice having a kitchen to cook in, since eating in restaurants can get expensive. The dorm room is nice, and the lockers are big. The bathrooms were tiny and didn't give you much space to get changed before or after using the shower.

the only dorm is ok, not a great value for money, but then we moved to a private room (there are many, upstairs) and they were excellent, great value. dont miss the common kitchen and deck upstairs, most dorm guests dont even know they can use it...
