We stayed in a double room with ensuite. Everything was clean and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. Nice big fridge and good kitchen to cook in. WIFI worked very well. Great hostel close to everything - a 5 minute walk to the water - a 2 minute walk to the market and many other shops - very central. A tad hard to find but even with a car, we found it and got free street parking - once we parked, we walked everywhere. Would definately recommend this hostel. Well worth the money.

The Hostel was a little tricky to find, but I think that is due to the maze like streets in Split which is not exactly the fault of the Hostel! When we arrived the lady whom greeted us was friendly and keen to help us get the most of our stay in Split, pointing various things out to us on the map and gave us some cake. We stayed in one of the apartments just around the corner from the Hostel, which was basic but comfortable. Great location. Really enjoyed split.

They double booked us. We were put in a private room the 1st night but next day we were told the hostel was full and were taken to a house with no blue 'Sobe' sign and put in someones bedroom, told to share a bathroom with the people upstairs. The room didn't lock so we weren't happy about leaving our bags or sleeping there. Went back to hostel 3 times to speak to the lady but she was never there. We had already paid but didn't feel safe so had to book a hotel. Our final night in Croatia ruined!

This was a lovely hostel in a great location. The room was one of the best I have ever stayed in as it was clean, the beds were comfy, great air con and a very useful mini kitchen bit with a fridge included. The only issue we had was that there was no where to hang our wet towels. The staff were friendly and gave us a quick guide to Split on our arrival which was very useful. The best bit about our stay was that I ordered a three bed room without an ensuite and we got a free upgrade!

very nice hostel!! the host is funny and sweet, whenever you have a question or need anything she`s there to help out. it is located a minutes walk to the very center, so excellent to plan the trips. the common room is outside under a kiwi tree which is just lovely!! we loved our stay there!!!

Our room was one which did not have AC, which meant lots of mosquito bites. The reception wasn't really 24hrs as the owners on a few occassions were not up early enough to welcome guests arriving in the morning. We arrived to find no-one about and did not know how to contact the owner. The kitchen was not always open as early as it should have been and there was no tours desk. Nice, helpful owners though and a cute dog - Roxy!

Perfect hostel. Friendly hosts, interesting guests from around the world and of all ages. Great location! We were in the two bed private and it was perfect! Only downfall, had to go to the common area in order to use the wifi - the common area was maybe only 50 ft away.

We were not impressed with this hostel for the following reasons: - The owners hardly spoke to us, although we were only staying a night they did not make any effort to give us any information or make us feel welcome. - The room had air con but it didn't work. - The shared bathroom facilities were dirty, the shower head did not attach to the wall and flooded after anyone used it. - The only space to leave your luggage was in the centre courtyard. - The beach is definitely more than 500m away!

It was a basic hostel. We stayed at 2 bedroom apartment, in different building near of the actual hostel. Private shower, toilet and AC which was good. Probably hadnt liked this hostel as much if we had stayed any other room. It was cheap and ok.

it's a really nice place to stay in split. The personnel was really nice. maybe a bit hard to find at first, don't forget to print a map !

Good location in the the city center but far from the main bus station. The room was comfortable. Kitchen was absolutely filthy. Staff were friendly. An average hostel that served it's purpose.

We stayed in a number of rooms and they varied a bit - one had air con, another didn't. The common area is a cool spot to hang out and the location is easy - close to the centre but far enough away to not have noise at night. The owners are very friendly but there is no proper reception area so it might be that you have to hang around a bit or go upstairs to find someone so you can check in. I'd recommend this place.

Hostel Nikolla was excellent! The owners were extremely helpful and lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and in an excellent location - close to everything, 10 mins to harbour and bus/train, 15 mins to beach. Would definitely stay here again - and thanks to the owners you made us feel very welcome.

The bathroom was very small and horrible: when you flush the toilet, the water comes also from the holes of the sink!!! It was also dirty in the shower...
