The most brilliant hostel I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in a lot. I couldn't have designed a better one myself. Everything you need and everything you want from a hostel. Got all the small things right. Laundry machines, bed light and a plug by the bed for phone charging, computers and printer, extra towels in the bathroom. Nice social program and friendly employees. I'd almost go back to Boston just to stay in the hostel.

Really a great place! Awesome staff, really cool location, excellent wifi, free cookies and ear plugs, loads of seating, comfy chairs, nice kitchen area, awesome everything. My only complaint would be the building was kept warmer than I found comfortable, which made sleeping difficult. Also, although the location is great it can be dangerous outside late at night (it's a city!), so be careful!

Very nice and clean. I would stay here if I have the chance to visit Boston again. The breakfast was although lacking a bit only offering different kinds of bread and sweetened yogurt. But if that's what you like all the better!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at - spacious, modern, clean, warm, in a safe and quiet area with excellent facilities including: good size lockers in dorms, plentiful and good restrooms, reasonably priced internet access, helpful staff (especially the Chinese girl at reception), left luggage facilities. Clearly, whoever designed this hostel was once themselves a budget traveller, and sought to provide the five-star hostel experience. I would not hesitate to recommend this hostel 100%.

Excellent location, great rooms with own private areas, individual showers for privacy! Massive common areas good for space but not always great for interactivity.

Of all the HI hostels on the east coast I stayed at, this one was the best one.

This was the worst time I've ever had staying in a hostel. Instead of having a room key, there were access cards for your room..and the doors lock behind you. We stayed there for 3 days during the st. Patrick's day weekend and during that time my access card and my friend's access cards stopped working twice for me and 3 times for her. Not only is there no alcohol allowed in this hostel (which is ridiculous..and something not mentioned on the booking page!)The staff was irritating & unpleasant

Would definitely stay again. Great location. The staff were excellent too- friendly, helpful, informative and always with great suggestions on things to see and do. The social activities were also great- there are parts of Boston that I would not have seen if I hadn't taken part in the hostel's social activities.

I like this hostel so much and it will be one of the reason that I will be back to Boston again besides Cambridge and Haward.

Overall awesome new hostel - very clean and centrally located. It was great that they had daily tours and activities options. My only complaint was having to pay $3 xtra per day because I was not a hostel international member

The hostel was very clean, the rooms fairly big. There were cubbies and lockers for each bunk and a built in reading light with electrical outlet that was very useful. The kitchen was fantastic. Breakfast wasn't great, but I've for sure seen worse at hostels. Location was so-so, but Boston is so small you can walk literally everywhere. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but did the trick. In comparison with other Hostels I would put this near the top but not quite there. I would stay again.

Hostelling International Boston located in good place and owned their special characteristics. Furthermore, the security of the hotel is good and I like its atmosphere and their kindly staff. Finally, I think this hotel is value for money.

This is hands-down the best hostel I've ever stayed in--better, in fact, than most hotels I've stayed in. I will definitely stay here the next time in Boston. Really loved the whole experience.

Brilliant location for exploring the city, loads of pristinely clean bathrooms and lots of spaces for meeting people if travelling alone!

Very safe, clean, in a good location. But you pay 3 dollars more if you are not a member of Hostelling International and 3 dollar for leaving the luggage in a locker after the checkout. When you pay 36 dollars for a 6 bed dorm to me seems unreasonable to pay 6 dollars more for service that every hostel offers for free.
