THIS WAS MY 18TH STAY AND IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. I HAVE STAYED AT HOSTELS ALL OVER THE WORLD AND THIS IS MY #2. I HAD A PROBLEM WITH A YOUNG LADY WHO THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD BE ALRIGHT TO SIT ON MY BED FULLY CLOTHED (SHOES ALSO) AND PLUG IN TO WALL SOCKET TO USE HER COMPUTER - IN FACT, SHE TOLD ME TO WAIT 10 MINUTES SO THAT SHE COULD FINISH AN EMAIL TO HER FRIEND. .... THIS MATTER WAS RESOLVED QUICKY BY BRANDI AND MAURICE. THANK YOU

My stay at this hostel was great, because I met so much people and they offer a lot of extra-activities (tours, trips) which are value-for-money to their customers. Except for that, they had a huge pro-kitchen, big beamer wall with sofas, a very nice lounge, friendly staff and the rooms were clean. We did not have hot water for 2 times, so they should replace their boiler.

Great hostel, fairly friendly staff at the check in desk, but great tour guide for the Brooklyn Bridge tour - very helpful and gave us some good tips.

The hostel was quite ok, unless you don't mind squelching beds. Also, take notice if you reserve a shared room, there is no breakfast included.

It's a nice hostel. However for lockers you have to have your own lock or purchase one at the reception. Also, if you're not a HI member (which you are probably not), you have to pay 3dollars a day for a temporary membership. No breakfast included (however linen and a towel are), but there is a kitchen in the basement.

Was really pleased with this hostel. It's a little more expensive than most hostels but you get what you pay for. Shower/bathroom facilities (at least the renovated 4th floor ones anyways) were the best I've seen in a hostel so far. What really made this hostel stand out is the amount of common rooms and activities that happened every day (entertainment that comes to the hostel, pub/club crawls and free walking tours. Their information desk is also really helpful! Highly recommended!!

Very good location, just a block away from the subway and just a few blocks away from central park. The corridors are a bit smelly but the bathrooms are clean. The rooms should be cleaned more often but it's still a great place to stay for not so much money.

Rooms were very clean and sheets and bed were acceptable. The extra blankets they provide came in helpful (it was snowing) when I wanted to open the window to let in fresh air. Bed was a little small as I'm 6'3" (~2m) tall, but it was tolerable. Perfect location, the neighborhood was very nice with great little inexpensive restaurants near by and was only 1 block away from a regular train line (red line #1). Bathrooms were very clean!! I will definitely stay here again.

I had a wonderful time and I certainly got my money's worth! I can't imagine paying any less for a night's stay in the middle of Manhattan! Mind you, it would have been nicer to be closer to downtown, but that's simply because I spent most of my stay in The Village and SoHo, but you can't beat the subway in NYC! (Which is just a block away). I really enjoyed my stay, I'm going back again and I'm bringing friends! Stay at this hostel, you will not regret it!

Given the price, I was surprised that the rooms don't have en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast was good, internet was fairly good. It's great being so near central park, but it is quite a ways from downtown, even if it it's near a few good subway lines.

its a nice place to stay, so long as you dont get unlucky enough to get stuck with a snoring champion in your room as i did. i didnt sleep at all. i escaped to somewhere quieter, a refugee from the mysterious snorlax.

They've renovated the bathrooms since my previous stay; the showers are now the best hostel showers I've had the pleasure of using. The beds always make my hips hurt for a couple days. A pretty nice place overall, and they provide towels for free which earns bonus points in my book.

I went to a saturday night organized by the hostel but I was surprised by the place you guys took all the people! We are travellers so we don't have a lot of money but even so you took us to a really expensive club...i would suggest you opt for another type of club where people can actually have fun and meet each other!
