The free wifi is unreliable and prone to cutting out frequently. It also doesnt work with iPhones. Compared to the free wifi in other HI spots i've stayed in it's pretty poor. currently undergoing some renovation work with excellent new bathrooms. Was such a huge hostel, the onsite cafe was a welcome touch. Location was awful though and is nowhere near the sights of New York, but around 15-20 minutes on the subway, which is a ten minute walk away. I reserved a four bed room and when I got there it was not available. This was not very fun to find out. I also did not like at all the painting and workers on the floors as I was going back and forth to the bathroom. There should be a discount for a hostel that is undergoing work. Clean place to stay with nice staff! Located in Upper West Side it's pretty far away from a lot of tourist stuff, but just one block away is the sub so you"re good =) They could need an additional bathroom on the 3rd floor though ;-)Clean place to stay with nice staff! This is a pretty good hostel, I would stay here again. The stay are helpful, pretty good, safe area, close to train station. There is a kitchen so you can cook. The bathrooms could have been nicer, but they were in the middle of rennovations, so hopefully these will improve. All up pretty good.This is a pretty good hostel, I would stay here again.
