Hostelling International San Diego, Point Loma is located in the historical neighbourhood of Point Loma and there's plenty to do around the hostel, with a fire pit, BBQ, table tennis and weekly dinners. This hostel was rated the 2nd Best Hostel Chain at the 2009 Hoscars and Hostelworld guests have said it has 'friendly staff, friendly people staying there to socialize with, a non-corporate vibe and pretty much anything you need to charge your laptop and use good Wi-Fi'. Several visitors have also recommended it as safe and welcoming for lone female travellers.

The Point Loma Hostel is located two miles from San Diego's famous Ocean Beach in the relaxed neighborhood of Point Loma.
Ocean Beach and its accompanying nightlife, cafes, restaurants, shops and weekly Farmer's Market are just a short stroll away. Nearby, Sea World and Mission Bay are just a 5 minute drive or 20 minute bus ride away. Balboa Park, the world famous San Diego Zoo, and Downtown San Diego are 10 or 30 minutes away by car and bus respectively.
The hostel features a laid-back atmosphere with a beautiful, sunny courtyard complete with table tennis, a fire pit, gas BBQ, and plenty of spots to relax. There is also a large, open newly renovated kitchen that's perfect for cooking and sharing your favorite meals and a comfy, spacious lounge with a big screen TV and a DVD player. Affordable internet access is available as well as FREE WIFI. Weekly dinners, barbecues, and movie nights are conducted by helpful hostel staff.
A variety of dorms, private and family rooms are available. If you don't see it available contact the hostel directly.

No check in for new arrivals when office is closed

Non-members will be asked to pay for a $3 daily per night or $28 yearly membership upon check-in.
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Guests under 16 will not be permitted in dorm rooms.
Max number of days is 14 nights within one calendar year.
