If breakfast was included and the staff were a little more friendly this would absolutely be the best hostel. Couldn't ask for a better location, this is a very good hostel.

In Hawaii when hostels or hotels "include" breakfast, it means that they are charging you for it. There are so many cheap places to get breakfast for under $4, that we prefer to keep our rates lower, than raise them and "include" breakfast. The funny thing is that if you read the reviews of hostels that do offer "free" breakfast, people still complain that its not good enough. We cant please everybody :)

It was very clean and neat. Free snorkel equipment and board rental was great too. Staffs at the reception were OK. Couldn't get a feeling that they actually care guests though.. but they do their job well which make it fine. Generally it was good.

We have one staff member working at a time servicing 60+ guests, keeping the guest kitchen clean, doing all the hostel laundry, checking people in, checking people out, providing a lot of info about the area.

Amazing location! Clean beds/bathrooms--nothing special. You're literally two blocks from a very nice part of Waikiki (beach and bars)--enjoy!

in my opinion... just a place to stay than a place to chill

On arriving receptionist did not tell me that there was a back room so I had to trek up and down 2 flights of stairs, as it was after midnight this meant disturbing all the others in the room, otherwise very pleasant stay

I think part of staying in a dorm is an expecations that people are coming in and out possibly late at night, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Friendly and well informed staff made my stay fun and economical. Curtains around the bunk beds gave the rooms a sense of privacy. The courtyard was a great place to meet fellow travels. Cook-outs on several of the evenings helped keep the costs down and led to new friendships. A great place to stay.
