I wanted to stay in my bed on the 6th floor because I was comfortable and the room was relatively empty except for one other guy from Australia. They made me move to another bed because I had made a different reservation for the following days. I asked to stay but they told me my 6th floor bed was booked. So I moved. I was told later by the Australian guy that nobody ever came into the room and my old bunk remained empty. Meanwhile, I was in this other room with much more visitor turnover.

Room was quite small, little space to put anything, so constantly in somebodies way.

This hostel was in a great location- walking distance to the strip and just a few blocks from a major station. It had a great breakfast in the morning and the staff were fantastic at getting everyone talking and mingling. The beds were stable and lockers good but it was VERY cold at night with no control of the room temperature! So pack some warm sleeping clothes. The bathrooms were mostly clean but small. Overall, the hostel was good value and great location perfect to explore DC.

Breakfast here was excellent as you could eat loads. Walking distance from everywhere, group activities were also very good.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere with decent people from all over the world, rooms were in very good condition, if a little cold in the evening but if you ask for 2 covers you'll be fine and very comfortable. Breakfast was great for a hostel and not very far from the White House! Wifi slacking a bit though but if ur in Washington its to go and see things not stay on facebook!

It was ok for the price, the staff was good although one of them was a bit rude. The free breakfast is great and the location is good, you can walk to chinatown and take the subway everywhere

I enjoyed my stay here a lot, since the hostel is in walking distance of pretty much everything, and the staff is really nice. The kitchen is equipped with everything, including room in the fridges for everyone's stuff, and although I stayed in a 10 bed dorm, I still felt like I had a lot of privacy, since the beds were in different corners with separate lights etc. I will definitely recommend HI!

The hostel was pretty much like all HI hostels I've been to: clean rooms and bathrooms, good facilities, helpful staff. Nothing to rave about, but great compared to some other options. An easy walk from the train station (metro centre) to the hostel, even with our big bags, and a comfortable half hour stroll to the mall.

The heating of the room was very loud and woke me up every tome it switched on during the night. Would be nice if it could be switched off during the night. For the rest I had a great stay, the "breakfast man" makes every breakfast fun, all the facilities you need are there.

Location was great! We walked to all the main attractions and didn't need public transport the entire time we were there (except to get to Georgetown). The staff were really friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again!

I found the location perfect and the facilities were very good. The best thing is having hot water all day long, free bfast and wi-fi.

Nice rooms but old, with old furnitures, miss some stuff salted for the breakfast, there was only bread, céréals and muffins. For privates room, clean bathroom (it's depend of the people before you) but not enought privacy for the showers (there are only shower curtains, no doors with lockers). Nice staff.

The hostel is good, but the ridiculous thing is the staff there told me my 10% deposit that I paid via this website did not go to them, and I had to pay FULL 100% housing. It not only waste my money but also waste 1 hour of mine to wait for the system. They even said that I was not the first one get the same problem. I need an answer from hostelworld
