This was an okay hostel. Convenient location. Communal areas in the hostel seemed to be in disrepair and a bit grubby although there are signs of modernisation. Staff could do with a customer care course.

the hostell was great, the only problem was the room keys, mine never wanted to let me into my room after a shower so it was down to the lobby with my wet towel!

Had a grand time at HI, the bed was comfortable, the showers were clean and the water always hot. The location is fab, you can walk anywhere and the metro is easily accessable. The tours that the hostel arrange are good for doing fun things and meeting new people - cudos to Jeff for the fantastic Monument Tour on Sunday!
I would definitely stay there again!

Good place to stay. One or two of the staff not as informative or as friendly as the others which lets the side down but other than that and perpetual door/key problem it's a great place to stay.

Great free tours of the city are offered every night of the week - big spacious rooms, lovely massive lockers in the rooms (bring your own lock), cheap internet, all you can eat breakfast for $2, the list goes on... Great hostel!

Great stay! Really well located (walking distance to all major capitol sights and metro) and experienced helpful staff made the stay interesting and fun. Always something to do in hostel. Highly recommended - if I ever go back to DC I'll definitely go there again.
