Management had a lot on their plate the day I was there. But despite recovering from the DNC & family medical issues, they were very pleasant and accommodating. Hopefully the new management will help fix it up a bit. It could be a great place with a little paint.

Not a great hostel, bit untidy which made it look dirty.. not very professionally run.. 2 good things about it, location and free internet usage...! otherwise pretty poor..

A lovely home - relaxed & comfy. The house is a bit cluttered and not fancy but there is an abundance of warmth and friendliness. We had our breakfast -- a variety of rolls, muffins, great coffee, and fresh Colorado peaches -- outside on the shady deck. It was surprisingly quiet at night, especially considering its central location. All I heard with the windows open as I dropped off to sleep was the gentle sound of water gurgling in the lovely backyard pond.

This hostel was a fun place to hang out while in Denver. They could become even better by having a better shared kitchen, putting in reading lamps, and running some kind of barbeques or trips. Also, the AT bus was probably a more difficult way of getting there than the AF bus downtown and a regular bus down Colfax. All in all, a good place.

This is a hostel with great atmosphere and friendly staff. However, it is very dirty and run down. The staff put on a bbq for all guests on a Saturday night - it was nice to meet people and then go on partying with the other guests in the fun town of Denver.

I had a blast in Denver. Came for one night and ended up staying 5! Awesome bar and cafe right across street. Took a day trip to the mountains for some hiking and lake swimming - highly recommend this! Staff were awesome and they just got a bunch of new mattresses and bunks - looks like they are really doing a lot of renovation right now inside and out, which is cool.

I see from previous reviews & talking to staff, that this hostel went through a rough patch. The good news is, they fired the old manager and the new people seem to really be on the ball. I highly recommend the funky pubs in the area. It's a 100 year old building, so it's understandably a tad rustic as a result. But it's got balconies off the rooms and a nice back yard for bbqs and the like. Got a $10 ticket to see the Colorado Rockies baseball team play. Hot dogs, beer and baseball!
