Looking at the ratings, I was a bit skeptic about this place, but seriously, hostel pushkin is a very good place. Facilities are good, staff is nice, close to metro station. It's a very good place! Just make sure you know the door code.

Nice place, friendly, helpful, centrally located. Clean and cheerful, good value. However, if you don't know the code for door entry from the street, you can be stuck outside on arrival - so have the phone number with you! :)

It's difficult to get into the hostel with no bell on the outside door. The hallway seems like a derelict building. The receptionist - I think her name was Oona/Onya was very nice and helpful. The hostel is generally clean but doesn't feel particularly safe. This isn't really a backpacker hostel - most of the guests seemed fairly native. We stayed here for a football match so it was just somewhere to crash but I probably wouldn't want to stay longer than a few nights. It's very cheap though.

I like this hostel, but it has only one bathroom. If you travel with big company it's not very good.
