During the visit I actually wasn't able to tell who belonged to the staff and who didn't. According to my best understanding some of the "staff" were sort of breaking the rules of the house (e.g. no noisy activities during nighttime). Nevertheless friendly service and appropriate facilities etc. Perhaps slightly unclean.

It was a lot of stress. the hostel itself is in the underground cellar, serving also as a "wine cellar" for some cafe around and "flophouse" for many homeless (as it seemed) Turkish people (as the hostel is owned by Turkish as well, which I don't want to say anything bad about, but it's fyi). No proper reception. No security. I was really scared to say there.

the location is good. it is in walking distance to the major tourist spots. the owner is very helpful and good in English. the kitchen and a bit unclean. the bathroom is a bit weird as it is linked directly to the common room without door. people sitting in the common area can see one brushing teeth or washing face. it is a bit embarrassed if u have just finished shower and walk out from the bathroom because everyone in the common room will see u before u go back to your own room.

it has a good location where shopping and eating are just within 5 minutes. The rooms are small and personal room is limited, but ok if just stay at night for sleeping. Quality matches the price.

I booked a dorm about a month before my staying, when I arrived to the hostel my name wasn't in the system even though I had paid for my dorm. Anyway, I was lucky enough as there was one unoccupied room available. The room was extremely small, without a window so obviously there was nothing to breathe, was pushed to leave a door open for the most of the time.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms, showers and wash areas are very clean. Excellent location. The only things that were a little strange were having to go through the kitchen and living area to get to your room after a shower, and there is no staff in the hostel after 6pm. Otherwise great value for money. Free tea and coffee is a bonus and the kitchen facilities are good.

As the benifits of the hostel we can name only location, lockers, and clean bed linen. That's all. At first, our room was extremely small and dirty. Moreover, in the hostel were living a lot of people, who seemed not to be tourists and were looking not very pleasant. Kitchen was too small for all people living there and the cleanliness in the showers was not on the appropriate level. Finally, during last days in our room for 4 people were living 5 - it was very uncomfortable and strange.

There was no staff there during the night and that kind of made me uneasy. It seemed like there's some poor locals who live at the hostel, the common area was just middle aged men sitting around all day which was an unusual crowd of people for a hostel. The main owner/manager was having an argument with one of his employees while lots of people around too which was not professional at all.

The showers were really dirty. It smeller urine there. Toilets were also unclean, and hadn't any toilet paper. There were too rare showers compared to quest amount. Rooms were untidy. And our room was approximately 7m2, without window and four big beds just stucked in it, so that there were too little space allover. :/ Can't understand this type of hostel management. The only positive comment I can say is that the location was good. It was also weird that the hostel hadn't any reception...

Staff was very friendly. The hostel wasn't super-clean but I think it was other customer who made mess faster than staff could clean.

According to prices, this accommodation is very good. Although we had pretty small room without a window, we liked our stay in this hostel and we were satisfied with it. Big advance of this hostel is the location and free bed lining.

Staying at Hostels by Nordic was okay. I was exhibiting at the Stockholm Furniture Fair at Alvsjo for 5 days so I had to leave early around 7.45am and come back around 8pm. I think one of the problems I had was with the opening hours of the reception to pay the hostel bill. I had to trust one of the guest staying at the hostel and give them the total amount of money to pay the Manager of the hostel and collect the receipt later.

The Positives; Great location, reasonable price, friendly and helpful owner who showed us where the cheap(er) places in town to drink were. The Negatives; The rooms are tiny, have no windows and smell stale because of the lack of ventilation. The showers are dirty and the kitchen/common area is tiny. The Odd; There appears to be some Romanian middle aged peasants living at the hostel who spend all day in the common room watching TV, drinking weak lager. I found them hilarious, others less so.

The hostel is located in a big shopping street in Stockholm, which is good, but it is in a basement and not very clean. The staff is friendly. But there isn't really any privacy, when you want to shower or brush your teeth, because the kitchen and living room is right next to it and there's no door. The showercabins are very dirty. The rooms have bunk beds that squeak every time you turn. For your stuff you get a locker in the hall and a Padlock.
