Even though I'd booked at this hostel, I was able to spend the night at the Kiev Lodging Hostel. I had a pleasant stay as mentioned in my other review. One has to pay another additional 6 Euros for sheets, whether one needs them or not, without paying that, you will not get your room. It is written somewhere in very small letters. Beside that, the bathroom floor was flooded. The staff is speccially unpolite, i think she doesent know talk with people, she has several problems to comunicate. apart of this the hostel is very dirty, and i dont like that you have to do the check in in other adress. They explein it in a email, but this email is send after the book. Also, I booked a bed by 8 euros and finally i paid 12 euros, obviously it is a bad thing. A excellent hostel in central Kiev. I found all the staff helpful and go the extra mile. I must thank the owner, for the upgrade at no extra cost. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! Please read on... This hostel is the worst Ive ever stayed in! On arrival, you have to walk 30 mins to another hostel where you check in (you are not told about this untill you get there and theres a note stuck to the door!)... The price is over double if you rent linen, which when I booked it said was included. Hostel is a mess, smelly, owner is VERY rude. At arrival I was told that I had to pay for 3 nights for my friend as well. Later when I met with my friend he said he had already paid. We went to the manager and told this. He immediately started to get aggressive instead of just explaining the price. It costs 6 euro per night for bed sheets! So if your booking is 3 euro, add 6 to make it 9 euro. You also have to pay and get your sheets from a different location about 10 minutes walk away.
