Stayed 9 days in NY at Hotel31. A great position, close to everything and a short walk from Penn Station. Thought it good value for money in NY even though hotel is dated.

Good location, small but nice clean rooms with TV. I was backpacking and it is not a good place to meet people. But for 2 nights it was all we needed. Very nice appearance from the street, staff helpful and nice enough.

Great location, our room had a view on the empire state building. Nice building with lots of character, and the shared bathroom was always clean and available. Would definately stay here again and recommend the place to others.

The hotel is a very clean place, pretty decent for what you pay and is very well located, one block from the subway. i recommend it if you are on a tigh budget and want to spend lot of days in the city!

cheap hostel convenient to broadway/times sq. value for money brilliant but if you are wanting to stay in a place to meet people, this isnt the place as there are no communal areas. room quite noisy and sometimes too hot (couldnt turn heating down). not exactly the most modern place! very dated (though did have character) but clean and worth what we paid. definately the place if you just want a basic hotel.
