I booked a private three-bed room with two friends on the 6th floor and it was excellent - bright, airy, extremely clean, warm (essential for Berlin in January!) and very quiet. The location is very central, so it's easy to hit all the main attractions of Berlin and the hostel is only a brief walk from the U-Bahn station. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the 24/7 bar on the ground floor is a nice place to hang out. My only small criticism would be that the shower had no proper curtain.
