DEAR GUESTS,
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING...
WE ARE A VERY SMALL HOTEL, VERY SIMPLE, BUT TOTAL DIFFERENT THEN THE MOST HOTELS YOU SLEPT IN. A DIFFERENT ART FOR SPECIAL GUESTS!
MY SISTER AND I DECORATED ALL THE ROOMS AND WE TRIED TO ESTABLISH A DIFFERENT, LOW-BUDGET HOTEL IN THE MIDDLE OF MUNICH.
THE HOTEL IS CALLED "ACHTERBAHN" (ROLLERCOASTER) AND EACH ROOM REPRESENTS A FEELING PEOPLE HAVE WHEN THEY DRIVE ROLLERCOASTER… STARTING WITH ROOM MELANCHOLY AND FLUSH ON THE GROUNDFLOOR, OVER ECSTASY, PRESUMPTION AND BLISS ON THE 1st FLOOR AND
FEAR, RELAXATION AND ILLUMINATION ON THE 2nd FLOOR.
THE HOTEL DOESN´T HAVE ANY STARS, NO ELEVATOR, NO TELEFON IN THE ROOMS…
OUR RECEPTION AND BRREAKFAST LOUNGE IS IN CAFÉ CAMERA, 10 METRES OVER THE STREET.
WE HAVE ONLY 3 SINGLE, 3 DOUBLE AND 2 QUADRUPLE ROOMS.
EACH ROOM IS EQUIPPED WITH TWIN BEDS, TOILLET/SHOWER, TELEVISION AND HAIRDRYER.
IN THE ROOMS WE DON`T HAVE ANY DESKS, CHAIRS
OR WORDROBES. (PLEASE VIEW THE PICTURES)
THE ROOMS ARE MONOCHROM PAINTED IN DIFFERENT COLOURS, STARTING WITH GREY (ROOM MELANCHOLY), RED (EKSTASY) AND GREEN (FEAR).
THE ENTRANCE IS PAINTED BLACK AND IS USED LIKE A GUEST BOOK.
EVERY GUEST JUST WRITES DOWN HER/HIS THOUGHTS.
THE WHOLE STAIRS ARE ALSO PAINTED IN BLACK AND ON THE WALLS WE HANG BLACK & WITHE AND COULORED POSTCARDS, PAINTINGS OR WAX FIGURES.

The Hotel Achterbahn is a beautiful colourful hotel in the centre of Munich, right next to the world famous Oktoberfest area and only a 5 minutes' walk from the central train station.
All rooms come with ensuite shower/ WC /satellite TV/hairdryer.

Pets are allowed on request. No extra charges.
Theatre, concerts and event tickets can be purchased for you too.
There is a laundry service available in a 5 min. walk from the hotel.
Around the centre you can reach a lot of famous Munich Pubs (so called Bavarian Biergärten and
Bierhäuser) discotheques and (night-)clubs in a few minutes.
