This is not a hostel is a hotel, so you have your own room but you have no common areas and therefore you can't talk with other people or share a beer with other travelers. The location is really great because is near of the train station what can be really helpfull and is on the main avenue of Venice (is a big avenue that practically rounds all Venice), I can't talk about the price because I travel there in december so I think everything looks expensive for me jaja but in general it wasn´t bad
The reception was perfect. Great people working in this hotel, they gave us many tips, places to visit, prices of everything. We felt as at home! Lovely people!
We were transferred to another hotel but were able to have a room with our own private bathroom. The room was nice and relatively clean. Security is good and in a nice location only a few minutes from the station. As a warning to anyone booking hostels in Italy - none of the bookings on hostel world include "city tax" this will cost you 2 euro per person per night in addition to the cost of your booking. Be warned as it can add up and be a nasty surprise to those travelling on a tight budget.
