I was dissapiointed. Room was small, definetely NOT spotless clean and the smell from the plumbing was disturbing. I realize that accomodation in Venice is very expensive, but Adua is not good value for money.

This is not a hostel, it is a 1 star hotel. It's a 2 minute walk from the train station, and about a 30 minute walk from St Mark's square (we really like the walk, you can explore Venice!). We lucked out and got a room with a private terrace for no extra cost, and the air conditioning is a definite plus. We were in a separate building than reception, so we didn't see the staff the whole time. Very quiet, not a place to meet people.

Hotel Adua is in a good location, close to the train station, and the staff is very nice. But the room that we stayed in was DISGUSTING and clearly had BED BUGS!! The room was in a separate building from the hotel and smelled damp and stale. I had to cover my pillow with my towel so I would not have to smell how horrible the "clean" sheets smelled. After we left the city my boyfriend and I both discovered that we had small itchy red bumps on our face, arms, back, and legs that turned into scabs.

Great location by the train station and grand canal and on a lively street full of restaurants and shops. About a half hour walk to piazza san marco but still central and better to be that bit away as the prices were much more reasonable. Lovely double room with aircon which was to die for in mid August. 'Shared bathroom' but no one else seemed to use it so felt like an en suite. More a hotel than hostel so not very sociable. Breakfast was an extra 5euro and not worth it at all. Would stay again
