It has helpful staff. Rooms were clean+. But it's location is really very bad i think. And also neighborhood could be very dangerous at some time. It has no common area like kitchen or resting room. Maybe for Italy the price is good but i dont know i think it is little expensive for kind a bad/dangerous location. If you want to sleep in a clean bed and nomore it is ok.
Overall, Hotel Alba is a good deal and we would recommend it. Great location-near the metro and walking distance to most sites. Staff is very pleasant. It has a partial kitchen (sink/microwave/fridge only; a stove would be perfect!). The bathrooms were clean but it was a pain to get hot water and you had to hold the shower head. The breakfast was an added bonus. Our only real complaint was the double bed. It was worn and we woke up with back pain every morning.
You should meniton the extra 2Euro/night/person, it enhanced the price with about 10%... It made me feel put off, but the room was clean (although a little bit cold already), the bed was ok. 20 mins walk from the central station, 45 mins walk to the duomo. The area is nice, underground and tram stations are close, supermarcet was next door. The staff was helpful (with limited english).

Good hotel with very good location (near ug and train station) and symphatetic staff. I recommend this hotel.
It is a compliment to call this place a hotel. It is far away from the train station, in the middle of a not safe neighbor. Without knowing the apartment number it was impossible to locate the hotel, since it was on the 2nd floor of a random building. The receptionist girl barely spoke English. The place was old, there were no towels and no soap in toilet. The room was dirty, dusty. My girlfriend had an allergic reaction to god knows what. I would most certainly not recommend this place
very familiar feeling, but no kitchen or anything. also very noisy and no ac, but all in all pretty cosy.
Much worse than a normal hostel, no free wifi/no common area/no breakfast or cooking facilities. For these reqsons j would say Terrible value for money. There was also no aircon and for some reason this was the hottest room I've ever had to sleep in. The staff were friendly but ultimately I would recommend just staying at a normal hostel. Also got quite badly bitten by mosquitos here as had to have windows open all night.
It's quite cheap, clean and safe to live, but staff doesn't speak good english.

The best thing about this hostel is (1) the price; and (2) located close to a metro station. However, you must pay 5 euros per night for wi-fi internet, towels are not provided, there is no kitchen or microwave, and the AC does not work. I stayed in the 6 Bed Female Dorm and it was incredibly hot, almost unbearable. And if you open the windows, you will get eaten by mosquitos during the night. I'd say this is an OK place if you are just passing through Milan and need a quick place to stay.
OK for one night stay. Clean room, it has shower in the room. Toilet is located on the corridor. Everything was clean. The room window was oriented to the street so it was a bit noisy in the night. you need to pay local city tax (€1 pp) upon arrival.
Good place for this money! :)
