It's a very simple but nice and cozy place. It's not very central in the island, but near to the main places, so it is a a great place to stay for those who prefer a quiet place to stay the night. The staff is kind and speak english, and they let me leave my backpack in the luggage room for free even after i checked out. I highly recommend

The man at the reception was really rude and unpolite. Also, we didn't like the bedroom, it was like a jail with the sanitaries there. We were not the ones who were complaining about it, the other guests too.

I stayed here for one night but it was a memorable one! Very inexpensive for a great location near the Accademia. Clean rooms and bathroom, friendly at the front desk. No free wifi which was a bummer, and breakfast was €6 extra which was also lame but we definitely got our money's worth! (We all made little sandwiches to bring along as a snack ;) ). 15 min walk to San Marco, close to restaurants and bars but also far enough away from the tourist scene to really feel like you're IN Venice.

The shared bathroom was really tiny and often wet. Just one bathroom for the entire floor for females/males. Bad quality of the breakfast but many choices.

I had a very nice experience at Host Hostel Venice. Upon arriving, the man at the front desk offered to switch me from a 5-person dorm to a private room at no charge to me, so needless to say, I was quite pleased :) The location is great: not totally clogged with tourists, but still with easy access to all of the sites. Definitely a good value for the money!

My stay wasn't long but it was great. Located in a beautiful place near the gritti with an astonishing view. They lock the door around 11p.m so if you're coming home late, keep hoping someone is awake in the reception. The nearest bathroom to my bed was in the floor below. No enough electricity plugs so watch out for your chargers. Breakfast was fine and rooms were clean.

The room was nice, but a bit small and pretty cold (the eater was not "on" at all by end of october). The two-person bed was actually two single beds put together, which for a couple isn't that nice. The bathroom, which is a small room with toilet and shower, was very dirty, and the drain was stucked so water was overfluding. Nonetheless for the price and the location it was a pretty good deal.

Good value for great location! Was absoluteley amazed by Venice thus probably not so critical but if like us we are planning on being out and about all the time then that's a bingo!

This is actually a hotel that has 1 level set as a hostel. It is quite confusing to find as the name Host Hostel is not out the front it is signed another name. Paying for Wifi I think is unreasonable this day and age especially 2 euros for 30mins and there is no guarantee the connection is strong. Overall it was average the staff we mostly helpful and friendly the cleanliness was ok but there is no atmosphere what so ever very dull.

No free wifi, was one plug socket ingest five people in our "dorm", which was incredibly cramped. No air conditioning so had to leave windows open which let mosquitoes in. Very late check in (although because a member of our party was ill, they allowed is to check in earlier - staff are very helpful in this way). The place was initially difficult to find as the sign is very small, and shares the building with another hotel (Hotel Salute). Beautiful location though, right by the grand canal

The Hostel looks nothing like the pictures, the washrooms were dirty. The beds were made of actual springs so it wasn't comfortable at all. It would be nice if they had screens on their windows because there were lots of mosquitoes! And since you didn't want the mosquitoes flying in, you had to keep the windows closed which made the room smell horrible. Lastly you had to pay for wifi, 5euro/24hours.
